Great old school beach cottage in beautiful Kill Devil Hills. This one is not your typical beach box home. It has all the character of the fine homes built on the outer banks years ago. Knotty pine walls, floors, and ceilings are absolutely breathtaking. This home is located near milepost 10 which is almost middle of the outer banks ocean area. This area may also be refered to as the OBX (outer banks). You are close to EVERYTHING. 5 minute walk to the beach (across the street). 5 minutes to Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Wright Brothers Memorial. A great day trip would be to drive down the beach and really see the best that the outer banks has to offer. Short drive through the Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, and Hatteras areas takes you to the ferry and a 30 minute trip over to Ocracoke. This would really be an incredible day trip adventure.

Home has 3 full bedrooms (2 are extremely Over-Sized), 1 King Bed, 1 Queen, 1 double, and a Bunk bed that sleeps 3. Two full baths and and over sized outside shower as well. Pet friendly. Non-Smoking.

We provide comforters, pillows, and blankets but guests are required to bring their own sheets, towels, linens, and toiletries.

Amazing location

Our group of 5 adults had the best time at this beach house. The house itself is fun and vintage. The location is the best close to the beach, restaurants, breweries and just about anything you could want.

We wanted a quiet place to stay, but within short distance of all the excitement and experiences of the Outer Banks. The property is located in a family and pet friendly neighborhood one block from the beach, and small quiet restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Bday Weekend Retreat

My wife and I along with some friends loved this home for our weekend trip. The house is in a perfect location being a short walk from multiple restaurants and the beach. This is a place we would easily stay at again. Hal the host was quick and responsive with his communication.

We visit the beach house every year and we absolutely love it! We will never stay anywhere else! It’s super close to amazing restaurants and of course the beach! Our kids love the bunk beds and we love the swing on the porch! We will see you again next year!

Charming Cottage

We took a last minute family trip with our two dogs and this cottage was in a great location. Short walk to the beach, stores and restaurants. The house feels like an old fashioned New England cottage and is quite charming. The host was quick to respond.

Cozy beach cottage in a GREAT location!!

Our family enjoyed staying in this beach cottage for our first OBX vacation. This house had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. Hal, the owner was quick to respond to the few inquiries that we had. As advertised, the location of this house is excellent! Short walk to the beach, surf shops and restaurants with a great little pizza shop right at the end of the block. Our boys especially enjoyed the giant candy store within view of either of the balconies.

Brilliant location

This spot is a stone's throw from public beach access and has a great little ice cream and pizza shop on the block. We enjoyed our stay thanks to the location. This property doesn't have bells and whistles and has an old school beach vibe to it. The cleanliness of the property and condition of the furniture left some things to be desired. All in all, an adequate vacation spot but perhaps not one we'd return to.

Ship Shape Property and Great Management Communications

I've been visiting OBX for going on 40 years and have rented a variety of properties. 204 Neptune is a great property and met our needs perfectly. First, there is walkable beach access within 2 blocks. Second, if you need to haul gear to the beach, there are plenty of free parking areas for beach access points up and down VDT road, literally dozens of options to get your gear and family to the beach. Third, multiple dining options within walking distance! This property is well stocked, it has everything you need for a great stay. The porch swing on the front deck became a favorite reading spot each evening after our time at the beach. The property is clean and FUN! Try it out, you'll want to come back next time around.

Lovely stay in KDH ocean cabin

My two little dogs and I had a lovely stay at Hal's place within walking distance of the beach at Kill Devil Hills. I like to call it a cabin because of the knotty pine paneling and cozy decor. The house is on stilts so stairs required to get to the main floor - either to front or to the back door. Main floor had one bedroom and bath with living and kitchen open plan area. The place DOES have WiFi - and the code was mailed along with the key and instructions. The location is central to restaurants and activities, as well as to the beach. You can walk about 5-8 minutes and use the pedestrian entrance on the far side of the Ramada hotel. Or, drive a few minutes and park at one of the small beach parking lots nearby. We went in mid September and usually found a place to park, either in am or pm, even on the weekends. The appliances were newer and clean, satellite TV in living room and upstairs king bed room. Wonderful two person swing on the front deck. Quiet neighborhood and the dogs and I enjoyed our walks. Other family members were supposed to join but unable to. 3 nice size bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms make the place a nice location for families. Hope to return next year!
