"This was by far the most unique, amazing hotel we stayed at on the island of Crete. Upon arrival we were given fresh-squeezed lemonade made from their own lemon trees. The staff was so friendly! The building is over 500 years old, and nothing like I've ever seen before. "We had a deluxe villa with own pool. It was just a shame due to staying later in the season, we did not get the sun on our loungers and the pool was very cold. (Still tried it though!!) Suite was lovely, Breakfast was good, lots of choice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Resort is close to main road, which was a bit annoying if sitting out. Overall though, could not fault the resort. However, walked along the nearest beach, and was very disappointed with the amount of rubbish and plastic around. Shame our tourist tax isn't helping with that!!"

"Breakfast was amazing. The room felt new and modern, and was impeccably cleaned every day. I enjoyed the location right across the street from the beach, and close to all the shops in Plakias. I would not pay for the sea view patio again, as it was mostly a view of people’s roofs, unlike the photos online. The staff was so nice on check-in. They sat down with us and gave us fresh lemonade, which we appreciated. Later on, I had a few simple questions for the front desk and got responses from staff that were irritable and even condescending. Maybe everyone was in a bad mood since it had been raining, but in the weeks we traveled, it happened three times there, and nowhere else."

We have just got back to the UK ( 05/10/2026) and we was there when the worst weather they had ever experienced storms,torrential rail and wind for 7days... "Villa Andromeda is exactly how it looks in the pictures and how the other reviewers have described. The road to and from the property is fine apart from a twenty metre section where you have to be especially careful - we managed fine in two normal front wheel drive manual hire cars for a party of eight. Robert has found a great team of hosts - led by Angelina who look after everything for you. They even went as far as improving that small part of the road leading to the villa for us! The location and the villa are truly amazing with the most beautiful sunset we’ve ever seen. There are plenty of lovely tavernas and restaurants nearby with lots of local supermarkets that are reasonably priced and stock so many options. So you can get the best of both worlds - complete solitude in the most beautiful setting or sample typical Greek traditional offerings. The old town in Chania is a must visit and we’d also recommend hiring a boat for half a day - we did both self drive and a captained private catamaran which were both awesome."

The hotel is a little outdated but it offers everything you need for your stay and is very affordable. The plus is the team. All of them are super nice and they make your stay unforgettable. I recommend everyone to get there just to enjoy being treated nicely in a very natural way."
