Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, and we were told we were being “upgraded” to a premium room. Unfortunately, the upgrade was a tiny 10x10 space where the queen (\*\*Not the King I booked\*\*) bed took up almost the entire room. There was barely room to move. It was snowing during our stay and the heater didn’t work. I called for assistance multiple times and no one ever came. I ended up relighting the pilot light myself every 30 minutes throughout the night just to keep the room from freezing. The toilet clogged with only liquids in it and it took four hours for staff to provide a plunger which is dropped off in a bag full of dead cockroaches. The TV barely worked — even at full volume you could hardly hear it. To make matters worse, there was a visible blood stain on the bed. There was no comforter, just thin sheets, which made the non-working heater even more uncomfortable. The room only had three extremely flat, uncomfortable pillows. If this was considered the “premium” room, I can’t imagine what the standard room looks like. Oh, by the way, check-in is not even on site. You have to walk next-door to the other apartments to check in. The wires were clearly not connected yet still plugged in so its a dangerous fire and electrical hazard. I confronted the front desk and they said they did not have another one to swap us with and send me on my way. Additionally the heater was making knocking noises and the sink in the bathroom had a pluming issue. The front desk was not helpful at all. VERY good location at the bottom of South Lake Tahoe so you are centrally-located to do it all without being in the center of craziness there. Very close to the Lake and Highway 50 and Stateline. You can walk to the Lake from the Inn and take the path along the Lake. Service was very good, rates were very good during October. Room and bed were good, very quiet.
