"Run down and dirty on the outside. Not too much better inside. Rooms were dirty and had bugs. Looked like the recent renovation was just slap a coat of paint and maybe some new flooring. No attention to detail. Only good thing I’ll say is that breakfast was better than I expexted"

"We did not have the best stay on this trip. The toilet did not work in the first room so we needed to relocate to another room. The nightstand lamp did not work. The remote did not turn the tv off. The tv volume maximim setting was barely sufficient to hear it from the bed. The room was on the first floor with the window facing the back parking lot; each morning around daybreak the big trucks would idle loudly for 20 minutes. The shower sounded like a huge whistling tea kettle for some unknown reason. The indoor pool was not open. The staff was very attentive and courteous to meet our needs. The breakfast was good and the lady that keeps everything fully stocked and clean was very friendly and efficient. Overall, this Holiday Inn Express was good for the nightly rate but needs some TLC. "

"We loved everything about this hotel except the nearby trains. It’s right on the river, beautiful. The room and grounds were very clean and well kept. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant. The bed was comfortable and had a variety of pillow firmness. Would definitely stay again."

"The beds are entirely too high! I had to use the sheets to pull myself up on the bed and my husband to push from behing...I stand 5'6" !! The room wasn't completely clean, there were water rings on the desks and counters and the tv remote was very sticky! Also, the lights by our King bed didn't work and light switches that went to "nothing!" The hot breakfast had several items to chose from and food was hot! The coffee in the lobby was terrific! But we will not stay there again! They need lower beds for seniors and handicapped people...which I am both!"

"I was pleasantly surprised at the attention to detail the staff pays to cleanliness during breakfast. Food was fresh and replenished, counters always wiped up and clean, dining area trash non existent. "
