It was close to the station. We stayed in an apartment on the first floor without elevator but the hotel staff helped with our luggage. The room was spacious with lovely amenities!

Friendly staff, clean rooms and a good variety of choices for breakfast
Our room at The Gyle was the perfect hideaway for a combination business-and-tourism stay in London. Super-convenient, comfortable and quiet. Our "large king" was compact by American standards but made good use of every inch. The staff are just lovely and super-helpful, and the little lounge with snacks and coffee is a wonderful spot to hang out even if you don't get breakfast.
We will definitely stay here again! We will recommend it to our family and friends. We loved our room… air conditioning, fridge, big bathroom, water & snacks, comfy bed.
We stayed for two nights
Staff were brilliant, couldn’t do enough to make our stay great
Room was lovely, A/C worked well and breakfast was very good, lots of choices
For us living in a bungalow, the steep narrow staircases to the rooms were a bit tricky. Specially on the down with a suitcase
Great location to Kings Cross Station / short walk to shops and restaurants
On arrival we couldn’t get the air conditioning to work thank you Jo who was so helpful and made sure it was all sorted.
Really friendly staff and a lovely boutique hotel.
Very quiet and comfortable would definitely recommend
Great hotel to stay in … really quirky but no expense spared in its decor. Breakfast was great, fresh pastries with good selection. Very good position to the station.
Great stay
The rooms are modern and fresh, but they are slightly small, including the bed.
Other than that, the breakfast is lovely and generous for a continental, the property is well-located, just a short walk from King's Cross Station, which makes it convenient. There's a park in front of the property, providing a green view, much appreciated in busy London.
Nice rooms and tidy hotel near Kings Cross. Only problem was that windows didn’t block any noises from the street. Luckily I had ear plugs with me…

We had an amazing time. The room was very comfortable, stylish and silent enough to get a good night sleep. The staff was very attentive and the breakfast was delicious.
The room was really lovely despite our hesitation as we hadn't expected to be in the basement and other reviews were not very favourable of basement rooms. We were very happy though and our room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The location was perfect for the station and underground lines which was great. We were surprised how quiet it was as there is a lot of building work around the local area but we heard nothing at all! We would definitely stay here again in the future - it is a lovely hotel with really nice staff in a fantastic location.
The room was good, clean and comfortable.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
My room was in the basement, so I heard loud noises from the street level late at night which disturbed my sleep.
Beautifully appointed, spacious, clean and comfortable rooms and a warm and welcoming atmosphere, but unfortunately the soundproofing in the rooms is non-existent! We stayed two nights and slept in three separate rooms after having to move from our original room at 3am. We were in a courtyard room in the basement - the room was directly below one of the main footfall areas of the hotel near to reception, and we were kept awake from 2am by people stamping back and forth and scraping chairs across the floor above our heads. Thankfully the receptionist agreed to move us to a small room on the top floor, but the next day we moved again to a larger sunken bath room. Again, same noise issues as the room is in the basement. We didn't experience quite so much noise in the night, but as soon as the breakfast service started, we were disturbed by constant walking around and furniture moving above us. It's a shame as the rooms are lovely and the location just minutes walk from Kings Cross is great, but unfortunately we didn't get the restful experience we were hoping for.
