“Love this hotel so much. There was some confusion over the room that I thought I had booked, but that was really my fault rather than the hotel, but they went to all lengths to make sure we were happy - and we were. Staff are super friendly, not just in the hotel but the restaurant for breakfast and in the attached pub next door. Such a great stay - thank you for looking after us :) ”

“Have been to Woolacombe many times and this was the best property we have stayed in. Comfy bed, good quality furnishings and great location within the village Only thing I was say is we used the washing machine and then couldn’t find a clothes dryer …. Maybe it’s there somewhere but we couldn’t find one ”

“What a hidden gem The Annex, Rose Cottage is. Perfectly situated if you want a holiday away from the hustle and bustle of life! Nancy & Paddy are very welcoming hosts on hand to offer local knowledge on the best pubs to visit, walks to take or supply any small thing you may have forgotten. The cottage is beautifully presented , warm and clean with a very comfortable sofa and bed. The kitchen is one of the best equipped I have experienced with everything that is required - a real home from……

I stayed here for business so I needed to do more work in my room, the staff were happy for me to take my dinner up into my room and the rump steak that I had was incredibly good. I was also up and out in the morning too early for breakfast so the staff made me a packed lunch which was really nice of them. ”

“What a gorgeous house in a beautiful area, well run by a lovely couple. We had a wonderful stay; this little gem is tucked away on a quiet hillside spot, with breathtaking views of the coast and on the doorstep of lovely walks, and just a few minutes walk to the towns of Lynton & Lynmouth. Our room was lovely; warm, clean and spacious, a pretty and comfortable bed, soft bedding and nice pillows with a great sea view. The communal lounge had a cosy atmosphere, decorated for Christmas and stocked……

“The main thing to be said about our stay at the poltimore is that the staff really couldnt do enough for you. So attentive and lovely. The room was clean, spacious and had a stunning view of the countryside. The water sometimes ran brown, but this is probably the only negative comment to be said. Food has always been very nice here. We happily stay here again. ”
