"This is an excellent property. Very historic, rustic and with great views across the Tuscan landscapes. Lorenzo and his mother were super duper hosts who took great care of us. The property dates back to 1380 and the rooms are decorated with choicest artifacts that adds greatly to the experience. The location is fantastic too with the local market and restaurants in easy walking reach. The breakfast service is fabulous with many choices and Lorenzo himself is great chef as well! Highly recommend...

"Hotel La Scaletta Al Ponte Vecchio was a comfortable and convenient choice for our stay in Florence. The hotel is centrally located on Via Guicciardini, perfectly situated between the Ponte Vecchio and Pitti Palace, making it very easy to explore the city on foot. Because the hotel is located within a historic 16th-century building, finding our room and navigating the split staircases and different floor levels took a little getting used to. Our room was small, but it was clean and comfortable, and perfectly manageable for two people as long as we stayed organized with our unpacked belongings. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Manuel was especially helpful, giving us advice on navigating Florence as well as excellent bar and restaurant recommendations. One of the highlights was the lovely rooftop bar, with beautiful views over the city and the Boboli Gardens near Pitti Palace. The morning breakfast was also excellent, with a substantial selection and a very pleasant atmosphere. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily choose Hotel La Scaletta again when we return to Florence."

The ONLY complaint I would give is the size of the shower in our room- too small, but that’s just being very picky"

"The room, breakfast and front counter staff were excellent. Overall was a nice experience. there was a wedding in the courtyard patio area during our stay on the first night and we couldn’t enjoy certain areas of the property. We would have liked to have been made aware of that. Instead of stumbling into their party and told it was private. Both men and the lady at the desk were extremely helpful and kind. As well as the morning breakfast lady."

"Fantastic location, walking distance to all attractions. 24 hours front desk receptionists were one nicer than the other, especially Nino and Simone. Room was cleaned every day and we had fresh towels. Breakfast was good and Karima, the host/waitress was treating guests like they were in a high class restaurant, loved her. All staff were super nice and helpful. In our two weeks vacation in Italy, this hotel was the best in everything. Just to know the hotel is old which gives it its own charm but the air condition worked great, they were two elevators, our room was somewhat remodeled and very clean. The only suggestion is the bathrooms especially the bathtub could be remodeled."
