"Clean room"

"The hotel itself was fine. Clean and comfortable beds. However I booked my reservation more than 3 months ago - two rooms. When we checked in they asked for my id and credit card 3 times and then told me our rooms were not together a they couldn’t make changes. We were as far apart as we could have been. Thankfully we were traveling with another couple but had it been my children it would have been unacceptable. The front desk staff were too busy talking to each other to pay attention to what they were doing. We travel about thirty nights a year and we will never stay at a My Place again "

"The room and overall experience were OK. But for $350 plus, we were expecting more than was there. The AC unit was of the type you'd expect in a $150 a night hotel. The lounge was nice for drinks, but there was limited food and we noticed that none of the locals were eating there. After having several drinks at the lounge, we asked for two wine glasses to take back to our room, but were refused those and provided only with plastic dixie cups. Again, not what one would expect from an experience at at $350+ a night hotel where we had a microwave, a refrigerator and had a suite."

"We specifically chose this hotel for the pool. When i checked in was told the pool was fine, when we woke up to go to the pool we found out the pool was closed until tuesday for some reason, no explanation. Again we chose this hotel for the pool and payed the $230 for the use of amenities. Our room smelled of dog pee and fresh steam cleaning chemicals. The room phone wasnt connected to anything. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was ok."

"There was leftover food in the microwave, trash around the mini fridge, dusty handprints on the bedside lamps, grime around the toilet and worse of all was a small side window, but big enough for someone to crawl in from the outside, next to the picture window that was left open. We didn't notice the window last night because we checked in around 11:00 p.m. and the curtains were closed. The bathtub was dirty as well. I have asked for a refund. In the approximate 100 hotel stays booked through Expedia this is my first complaint. Maybe we were assigned a room that wasn't supposed to be rented last night. I don't know."
