The Mountain Inn at Killington

"We really enjoyed our stay here. We only stayed one night, but it was a very nice stay. The room was very comfortable and clean, the balcony was comfortable with a nice view. We were disappointed that the restaurant wasn't open in the middle of the week, but still had a nice dinner in town. We didn't get a chance to use the pool. We walked through the game room - things in there looked a little rough - I wouldn't play any serious tournaments! - but a nice fun selection. The lounge was also very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!"
Woodstock Inn & Resort

"Enjoyed staying at the Woodstock Inn. Great location, anything you want to see in the town of Woodstock, plus a number of great hiking trails, are walking distance. The in hotel restaurants, Red Rooster and Richardson's Tavern, are outstanding. No charge valet or easy self-parking available. The lobby is a great place to hang out, it has a great oversized fireplace and afternoons between 400 - 500 coffee and tea are available in the lobby for guests. By the entrance to the Red Rooster, there is also a basket of locally grown apples available anytime. There is a game room off the lobby, which is also a great place to go. The guest room was really comfortable, especially the mattress. So why a four star rating and not five? The in room thermostats are restricted so that a guest cannot set the fan to continuous run. This is to be expected at a lower end Marriott, but not a hotel at this price point. If you like white noise while sleeping, or don't like the HVAC cycling off and on, this is a problem. I did ask the front desk and got a response about environmental responsibility and energy conservation. For $1,300 a night plus a resort fee, a guest should be able to run the HVAC whenever they want. The lobby furniture cushions are worn and the cushions sink at a level I would compare them to college dormitory furniture. A lot of day trippers who aren't hotel guests come into the lobby, which greatly contributes to the wear. Still a great place to stay."

"This was by far one of the best stays my husband and I have ever had! The lodge was full of amenities and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive and we really enjoyed the breakfast each morning, especially the scones! We would absolutely return again."

Jackson Gore Village, A Vail Resorts Property

"This is our second time staying at Jackson gore. The room was perfect. We were looking forward to spending some time in the outdoor hot tubs and was told they were under maintenance which was unfortunate. Also we were booked the weekend after the ending of summer activities (mini golf and mountain coaster) but they had posters hung all over advertising the Halloween glow mini golf and scary mountain coaster event the weekend after we left. We really loved the mini golf last year so that was unfortunate that they didn't choose to continue this on the off week in between. Overall, we will be back again next year! Maybe the week before so we can catch more amenities. We love Ludlow VT and the easy access to everything near by while staying at Jackson Gore."
