The property was great!! Staff was great, amnesties abundant. The only con I had was the location as at times it did not feel safe with the people around. The security in the building helped make it feel safe though. Would recommend staying regardless.

Overall my first stay at the Hyatt Place Montreal was most excellent. I loved my room and view, amenities were good including breakfast buffet and the location downtown is very convenient for visiting the many neighbourhoods either by Uber, walking or the excellent Metro subway and bus routes. The hotel is situated on the border of the Gay Village which has many excellent restaurants and cafés but unfortunately there is a large number of homeless and panhandlers who frequent the area, but none are aggressive nor make you feel unsafe. There is a strong police presence along this stretch of Ste.Catherine, which is also pedestrians only, so makes for a nice walk. So overall 9 out of 10 and I will definitely return!

The hotel was clean and staff very pleasant. It is located in a very convenient place, right next to the Jardins Gamelin. Some surrounding areas are unfortunately less pleasant, which is an issue for the city and not the hotel, though there is definitely an attempt to clean it up and I felt safe. I would definitely stay here again.

Service was not the best. Long time to check in. No laundry bags and glasses in the room. Staff was not helpful for the laundry service. Some sport equipments did not work. The fire exit was locked.
