"The property is so beautiful. We walked the trails several times a day. Our dogs had a great vacation. They loved the freedom of the place. We heard the flying squirrels and were lucky enough to have one float past the window. Nearby we enjoyed the Grayson Highlands State Park. We did a short hike and got to see some wild ponies. The home is beautifully decorated and you can tell the owner wants you to have a great experience."

We did several stunning hikes during our stay, and only wished we had more time. The cabin is spotless, and feels like it’s brand new. It has everything you need, including super fast WiFi. The natural setting of the cabin is beautiful and quiet so we ate every meal outdoors on the porch or around the fire pit. This rental definitely has our top recommendation."

"It was wonderful! A few minor things. The sliding door is very hard to shut and there is a gap at the bottom. Most of the screens have holes in them, big enough for bugs to get in and the plumbing upstairs needs a look at. Other than that, it was great!"

"My husband and I ran away for Thanksgiving. It's a holiday that stresses me out so away we went. We live in Florida, but my heart belongs to the mountains. This adorable cabin is tucked away in the mountains so you feel secluded. It's 400sqft of just right. We loved the decorations and look. Unfortunately most of our plans got rained out, but certainly not anyone's fault and we made do. Would recommend this cute little cabin to anyone."

Cute cottage!
"My husband and I really liked this cottage. Its immaculate! The location is right outside of West Jefferson but you’ll take a private road up a hill and you feel very secluded. The bed was very comfortable with really nice linens and pillows. The larger house next door was unoccupied so not a sound from neighbors. Their are a couple of things to consider though.. The cottage has no over head covering not even a patio umbrella which we thought was weird because the bigger house actually has two covered porches. One night we had a nice fire in the fire pit and were getting ready to cook steaks on the (little) grill when it started pouring down rain we couldn’t even sit out side let alone cook! That was super disappointing! It rained for two days so we were stuck inside! Nice coffee machine but no coffee had to go to the store the first morning. All the doors need a shot of WD40.. super squeaky when one or the other person is sleeping. Dish towels would be great! And a screen on the doors so insects (bumble bees and wasps) 🐝 can’t just fly in! Lastly the kitchen window doesn’t lock so that too.. Hopefully they will make some small improvements to accommodate their guest! Otherwise great stay!"
