"Upon my arrival at Honolulu Airport on Thursday, I encountered an initial setback when I was assigned a room with only one bed instead of the two I had originally requested. I was compelled to return to the front desk to rectify this error and was subsequently provided with the original room that had two beds. However, upon further inspection, I discovered that the room had a moldy rug and was wet, posing a potential safety hazard for sleeping. On April 10th, I observed two roaches in the restroom and another in the bedroom adjacent to the two-bed room. I promptly notified the front desk, who assured me that a housekeeper would be dispatched to clean the room on April 11th. On Friday, April 17, 2026, I encountered roaches in the restroom once more. "

"We didn't receive the room that we booked. We asked the front desk, if we can have the room that we payed for. The told us to try and come the next day to see if we could have the room that we booked. Explained to them we have a disabled person. So we really needed that room. They offered us a shower chair. When they brought the chair, it was full with pee stains. Told the staff, that's not except able. They told us well that's the only one we had. The furniture had dry crusted stains on it. The sheets where stained. The shower had hair all in it. We made a complaint, and they told us to make things better we could have free parking. Well the hotel has free parking in the front. For the money we spent on the place. It is not worth it. "

"The best Western provided a perfect two day stop over before getting on the cruise ship. The included breakfast was very nice with plenty of choices to eat. The rooms were very comfortable and clean."

"I do wish I did more research on the room. For a family of 4 it was a bit small. I don't recommend a studio. But it did have a small kitchen and all the essentials you need. The room was ok. Next time I would search for a pool or ocean view. We did miss out on that. We didn't have to worry about housekeeping, so it felt like home. We did have to pick up ourselves, but we didn't mind that. The resort over all was great. The open layout and welcoming location were a plus. I do recommend this resort. Great for families and big parties. No clutter, No overwhelming people. Plenty of space in all the pools and lagoons. "

"Room looked to be clean when we first showed up then soon after getting our first meal for the day and coming back to the hotel. We find roaches everywhere on the floor, the wall, and even the fridge. We were even worried if any got into our suitcase because there was a time when we found a roach on our luggage. Don’t get me wrong we had fun but not because of the hotel. Hawaii is amazing just that this hotel definitely was the downside to the trip."

"Property was well maintained and very clean. Staff were attentive. Located downtown, not so nice area. But I guess that is beyond the property’s control."
