“The George Inn was an excellent choice for our first night in England, due to its proximity to Stonehenge and the reasonable cost. All staff were attentive and helpful. We enjoyed a late afternoon walk on the country lanes of Middle Wallop. I want to mention a few things that did not bother us but may matter to other potential guests: - Room ("the family room"): because it was directly above the pub, we could hear music clearly through the floor until the pub closed. It was loved by children and adults alike. Yes, it’s a little more expensive than some places, but it was well worth it. We will be back. ”

However, a downside is the lack of a lift to the room, so light luggage is recommended. It would also be an improvement to have a desk and chair in the room.”

“This is my second stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. The room was spotless. I really liked having a fridge in the room with fresh milk and water. The room was quiet and comfortable. I like the self-service breakfast. This suited me as I wanted to be up and out. There was a good choice of cereals, bread for toast, yoghurts and fruit. A lovely B & B :) ”
