“The shower hardly worked, it had a large shower head but water only came out of a handful of the holes and there was no hot water no matter how much the settings were adjusted so ended up washing my hair in the sink! The bed was uncomfortable and so had a really poor nights sleep. The only coffee in the room was for the nespresso machine, would have been nice to have a choice of capsules and instant coffee sachets. The pub and restaurant were very nice but I wouldn’t stay again unfortunately ”

“Found the place expensive £7 a pint, and £13.50 for a breakfast, which we didn’t bother with.Also the room I paid for double room with an extra single bed, had been given to someone else, which by the way I had phoned up two days previous to verify I had.Staff I spoke too were nice, but I would never go back there.”

“The staircase to our room is winding, and I need to go up and down before arriving at my room. The wall is thin and is not very sound proof, so I can hear what next door's saying and TV noise. It could be disturbing to someone during time for bed. There could be some seepage at the bath tub as there was a pool of water on the toilet floor after my shower, even though there was a glass door to stop water from splashing over to the floor. The car park is conveniently placed. The English breakfast……

“Very expensive for what it is, room very dark and gloomy, needed lights day and night, shower leaked out on the floor also very difficult to use, especially for ladies that don’t want to get there hair wet, we were charged for breakfast that we didn’t have, we went for my husband 80 th, and I asked if they could do a cake or something, and the waitress ( seemed embarrassed) 1 scoop of ice cream on a plate with happy birthday scrolled on and a very small sparkler it was really pathetic.”

“Small car park, clean room but very dated. Uncomfortable bed - very springy and well used!! Noisy late into night from pub below. Lovely lady booked us in on Friday but bar man not very friendly. Breakfast not included in price”

“A perfect little country pub with rooms. Very friendly staff, small but comfortable room, good en-suite. Food excellent, throughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend . ”

“The property was well located for an overnight stop on our way from Heathrow to family in Devon. Check in was smooth and staff welcoming. Room was ok. Bathroom floor prob needed a clean round edges as fluff and couple of dead flies were behind bathroom door. Shower was very hot. Hard to control temperature and at times was near scalding. The curtains in the bedroom had seen better days. Not hung properly so overall look tired. Bed sheets were clean and bed was comfy. Coffee and tea making avail……

“A great location to explore the area, including walking distance to WoodHenge, a short drive to Stonehenge and an hour from Glastonbury. Very quiet, peaceful and quaint. The perfect short break away.”
