Top notch in every way!
We've stayed in a number of VRBOs and none have been as well-appointed and welcoming as this Mountain View Escape home. Privacy and space, while close to wonderful towns and places to explore. Highly recommend!

Perfect spot for a hiking vacation!
We had an excellent stay at this cabin. Check-in and checkout were smooth and easy. The interior was super cozy, well-decorated, and very clean, with an impressively well-stocked kitchen. Almost all the major hikes in the area were 10-15 minutes away, and New Paltz was just as close. Aster was very responsive and gracious as a host, and even allowed us to stay a few extra hours so we could watch the solar eclipse from the backyard. Only regret was not making use of the fire pit.

An amazing, relaxing weekend at the perfect cabin!
We went for the weekend to get away with our pup and couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay!! If you’re thinking about booking don’t hesitate. Aster was very communicative from the point I booked and check in and out couldn’t be easier. The home is beautiful. From the moment you step in you feel relaxed in this cozy cabin. The attention to detail is phenomenal and the kitchen is well stocked with anything you could need during your stay. We will be back and recommend the cabin to family and friends!

Wonderful getaway
The location was beautiful - open sky for star gazing (when it wasn’t rainy) and a great yard for us to give Cully a good romp. The home is comfy and stylishly decorated. Aster was a very generous hostess and very welcoming. We hope to be able to come back again.

Perfect in every way!
We travel around the northeast to compete in dog sports with our dogs and we have stayed in many rentals. This rental was, hands down, the best place we’ve ever stayed! Beautifully decorated, fantastic shower, enormous comfy bed, lovely yard. If we come back to the area next season, we will definitely rent again (so long as they will have us!).

Five star experience!!! We enjoyed our stay in Aster’s beautiful home. The furnishings were gorgeous and host went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. The house had everything you would expect in a rental and more! It was fun watching the deer come up and eat the pears that had fallen off the tree. We had a wonderful time. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Perfect spot for an engagement!
Booked this property with the intention of proposing to my partner - which I did by the fire pit on our first night there (she said yes!) The property was immaculately clean and charming beyond belief. The complimentary refreshments and wine were an excellent touch! We barbecued both nights, followed by a fire in the gorgeous pit overlooking the mountains. We will 100% be back.

Holiday weekend getaway
Wonderful long holiday weekend, visiting multiple local wineries during the day and enjoying main street New Paltz for dinner in the evenings. Perfect Getaway
What a gem!!! This property was beautiful & private & near so many great places. The communication was great. We were celebrating a big anniversary & walked in to find a beautiful present waiting along with food, snacks, drinks & wine. The views & sunsets were magical. This clean and tastefully decorated home sits on a spacious and well manicured piece of land with a great view of Skytop. The location cannot be beat - a quiet street, just a few minutes from New Paltz, Gardiner and the Mohonk Preserve. We have been coming to this area for many years to rock climb, usually just roughing it in a tent. So glad we decided to upgrade and found this gem of a home! There’s nothing better than a spa-like shower, high-end bedding, and some fancy Italian chocolates (part of the complimentary snacks) after an active day. We already recommended this rental to several friends and hope to come back soon as well. Thank you, Aster!

Charming cottage with a great view
We visit the Hudson Valley at least twice yearly for friends and outdoor/cultural activities, and I'm thrilled to find Mountain View Escape! It is a cozy, quiet, stylish cottage with everything one needs for a weekend getaway--coffee, wine glasses, an efficient kitchen (although I did no cooking!), a comfortable bed, and lots of outdoor seating to take advantage of the view. We will be back!

The home appears to have been recently renovated and is immaculate. A lot of thoughtful interior decorator touches along with a new wood deck and fire pit area allowed us to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Would have liked to have been the first to break in the brand new grill, but took advantage of the pantry full of snacks instead!

The cottage is very comfortable. Nicely equipped kitchen, great king size bed, wonderfully stocked pantry and fridge (did I eat too many Klondike bars?), and beautiful deck with a peaceful viewi and atmosphere. On our next visit, we will definitely try out the fire pit. It was a comfort to return to the cottage after our day hiking trips, and the Things You Should Know binder led us to some great food.

This house is beautifully designed with every detail thought out. Everything you need to cook is available and the bed is very comfortable. Peaceful anniversary getaway
This home may be small, but it’s huge in charm and details. There’s beautiful decor tastefully done through out the home. The bedroom is romantic and cozy with antiques in every little nook. The bathroom is like a mini spa with plush towels, robes and great smelling toiletries. A lovely deck, fire pit area and spacious yard is all yours to enjoy. The area has many restaurants, breweries, wineries and endless hiking trails. We had a great time and hope to come back again. Aster is a wonderful host, she treats you with many goodies and your time here will warm your soul.

I felt like I was staying in a HGTV giveaway home. The house itself is so amazingly beautiful with mountain views in the back. But ontop of that is all of the thought that went into making it feel like a home. This is by far one of the BEST places I ever stayed in.
