Flip Flop Inn - G106 at North Coast Village

Looking for a beach condo in an Oceanfront resort-like complex with an upscale, comfortable interior at an affordable price? Well, just flip flop on in to the Flip Flop Inn! The living area has been updated with a queen size sofa bed a 2 comfortable chairs. It opens to a balcony with breakfast bar. The chef in your party will enjoy cooking in the updated kitchen with stainless appliances, recessed lighting, and wood-look tile floors. The bedroom has a king size bed plus a twin daybed, and the updated bath has a gorgeous walk-in shower, with a separate dressing area.

Make My Vacation also provides all linens and towels, beach chairs and beach towels. The Living Room TV is provided for your entertainment, as well as free wireless Internet.

Flip Flop Inn comes with one conveniently close garage parking space.

You'll enjoy all of the amenities of North Coast Village. As you walk through the staffed secure gate to oceanfront North Coast Village, you are transported to a tropical oasis reminiscent of the Costa Rican Rain Forest. Running streams, waterfalls, lush foliage, and Koi meander through the spacious grounds of this resort-like beachfront condominium complex in Oceanside California.

You will notice the crystal clear heated pool and spa, gleaming barbecues, convenient picnic tables, sand rinsing stations to remove the lingering beach. If you need a break from sun and surf, you might enjoy a game of pool, a jog on a treadmill in the exercise room, a little ping pong, or a sauna. Feeding our giant Koi is a simple pleasure not to be missed during your Oceanside visit.

When you venture through the back gates, you find yourself on one of North San Diego County’s finest beaches: broad and flat with volleyball, and great surf breaks - right out back! Beach towels and chairs are provided with the condo.

To the north, you can walk or bike to Oceanside’s busy little harbor for a bite to eat or some boating, and to the south, you can venture down the strand to southern California’s longest pier for some fishing (no license needed). North Coast Village is close enough to walk to everything near the beach, so your car can stay in its secure underground parking spot - especially useful when beach parking becomes a premium in the summer.

Parties or events are not allowed at this property.

The Mainstreet Oceanside Farmer's Market is a delightful experience near the Pier which takes place every Thursday from 9-1, and the Sunset Market happens every Thursday evening from 5-9. Be sure to taste the cedar-planked Salmon!

Quick Beach Trip

The condo was nice. It was right by the train tracks so it was loud when the windows were open. The condo had a very musty smell (bad water smell) when the shower was used. The property was nice and it served the purpose to sleep. We didn’t spend much time in the condo due to the smell.

Nice space for a family stay

Pool and jacuzzi were the highlight of the HOA. Easy access to Legoland and walks along the beach to Oceanside pier. Enjoyed our stay!

Great little bungalow

Visiting our Marine based at Camp Pendleton- perfect location. Convenient to everything. Only suggestion is for the overall property- signage is pretty much nonexistent Signage would help directionally.

Oceanside fun with family at the Flip Flop Inn

The Flip Flop Inn was very clean. The condo had been very nicely updated. The beds were Very comfortable. Plenty of towels and nice sheets. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. 2 beach chairs in good condition and 4 beach towels. I did think we were to have a partial ocean view but it was faced the other direction. They did have fans to help circulate the air. The patio was great to have breakfast and other meals. There is a train that comes by every morning several times, if you are a light sleeper it is loud. The grounds are very nice and tropical. The walk to the beach is slightly long with little ones. All in all we had a great time and would stay here again. The app worked great.

As advertised but…:

The property is as listed but I have two small issues. First, the complex is massive and finding your way around is not easy. I parked where instructed but I still had to haul by luggage up and down a few stair cases until the correct building and floor. That could probably be avoided with a more complete conversation with the check in team. The second issue I had was the property is located close to railroad tracks - which were used by the local surf rider commuter train - as well as Amtrak. That was a surprise as the trains ran early and often during commute time. Other than the above, the place was clean and comfortable. Easy walk to bars or places to eat - and the beach was directly across the street.

Our entire stay they were Jack hammering from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It was super loud and hard to relax with the constant noise. I messaged the rental company and no one responded. Had we been told this was going to be the case we would've stayed somewhere else. Their customer service has really gone down hill. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere that's owned by an individual instead of business that doesn't care.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit is clean and the pictures you see are just what you get. Complex is very well taken care of inside and out. Pool was 80 degrees and hot tub was hot. A little difficult to find the lay of the land especially in the dark. Takes a few times to figure out which paths are best. Beach is super close no matter where you stay on the property. Close to the pier snd marina. If you want a nice walk on the beach this is the place. Parking in the underground garage is awesome and close to your unit. Laundry facility (pay) was convenient but wish it was in the room. We had issues with the payment app as did others we met so hopefully they get that resolved and it’s reasonably priced. In the unit you have pretty much all you need but bring shampoo and conditioner as they do not provide. Not a big deal. I would stay at this unit again! Check in east, check out easy. Nice staff all around. Beautifully kept!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really liked the home feel of our one bedroom condo. It was very clean, well equiped and met our needs nicely. The only negative point of our whole stay had to do with the check in desk where we were handed the keys and some flyers with one rule sheet, one map and a parking paper. Because we had two cars and only one assigned parking place, I asked the front security if I could park in the front and understood that yes, I could as long as it wasn't the weekend. The young man even gave me another parking pass paper to put in my dashboard. Unfortunately, I didn't read all the fine print nor did the security guard as I ended up with a $50 fine for leaving my car overnight and into the next day. I would have appreciated a warning as I had no intention of breaking any rule and was only trying to find a solution. When paying my fine, the check in woman asked me why I didn't get a second parking pass and I responded because I didn't know I could. She didn't offer one and I assumed this was a one car condo. Anyway, everything was fabulous except this one mishap that made us feel less apt to rerent in this facility for this unnecessary charge that could have easily been waved to show better customer service.

Our condo had plenty ofToilet paper, towels and chairs for the beach. Included fans which came in handy on hotter days. The only negative was a baby seat that was there for convenience has mold in the tray so we were unable to use that for our one year old.

We had a great time and enjoyed the convenience of having the pool, kitchen, gym, and table games all within the same complex, plus its proximity to the beach! A few things about the stay that we didn’t love…The building’s location is right next to the train trax, so you hear that all night long. Also, when we booked it said you could see the ocean off the patio, but that’s not true, you can see just a sliver of the River/pond next to the harbor, but that’s it. I noticed someone else said the same thing and that part of the advertisement was removed. Finally just something to be aware of that I didn’t even think about is that these units have no AC. Maybe in most units that’s not an issue because your facing the ocean and getting that ocean breeze, but this unit is just about the furthest from the ocean as possible and got very little breeze at night. We had to have fans blasting on hi all night in every room just to stay cool. With that all said and done, the unit was clean and nicely updated. The bed and couch were a little old and dingy but you get what you pay for. We would definitely stay at NCV again, but would probably find a different unit closer to the water and away from the train tracks

Loved the Property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. The ambience, safety, and amenities of the village were exactly what we were hoping for. We very much enjoyed feeding the Koi and ducks and used the pool table and grill area. I would definitely recommend this unit to a friend with the warning that the condo itself was quite humid being so close to the water and tended to smell a bit musty. But going into it knowing that, you'll have a lovely stay. The kitchen is well stocked and the bathroom is clean and updated. The one problem we encountered was that sheets on the pull-out sofa bed didn't appear to have been changed, but was remedied the following morning due to it being after hours when we realized it. Overall, a really great option for a family!
