Moon Palace Jamaica is a stunning resort — gorgeous pools, beautiful beach, excellent food and drinks, and warm attentive staff. We had a genuinely great time and would likely go back. That said, a couple of things need to be said honestly. Our arrival was rough. They mixed up our room and we waited over an hour to check in after a long day of travel. For a resort at this price point, that kind of disorganization is a poor way to welcome guests and left us frustrated before we’d even unpacked. We were also pulled into what turned out to be a lengthy, high-pressure timeshare sales presentation. It was aggressive and went well beyond what was implied when we agreed to it. Go in prepared to say no — firmly, and more than once. Once we got past those two things, the resort really did shine. The amenities, the atmosphere, the food, and the overall experience were everything we hoped for. Just be ready for a bumpy start and keep your guard up when the “resort orientation” invitation comes around.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

I went in mid-late April. It wasn't overly crowded, which I liked. Good food, especially the fare at Pier 8 restaurant. The nightly entertainment was enjoyable and varied. My only (negative) comment: Three of us were stuck in an elevator for over 10 mins. However, that wouldn't deter me from re-visiting Moon Palace. As far as All-Inclusives go .... I'd say it is good value for money.

The Staff was amazing and very helpful. The Room was always stocked and cleaned, whenever I needed assistance or service for the room delivery was prompt. There were lots of entertainment, the food was good with several options- loved the hibachi and pier 8. The coffee shop is one of the best amenities. My nieces and nephews had a blast. The only downside was the check in process as the room was unavailable resulting in a longer wait time to get settled in. Looking forward to my next visit.

I am giving this stay two stars only because of a few positive interactions with specific staff members; otherwise, the management and operational failures would warrant a lower rating. This is an outdated property that suffers from a severe lack of leadership and efficiency. The Check-In & Lobby Experience The "service" model here is baffling. Every guest is attended by two staff members simultaneously, yet this does not make the process faster or smoother. In fact, checking in was significantly delayed. The lobby is filled with staff roaming around, seemingly with the sole intention of ignoring customers. Room Quality & Service • Missing Essentials: Basic items like washcloths and hand towels are apparently not part of the regular room setup. We had to call multiple times just to get these delivered. • Communication Breakdown: Obtaining a simple active folio or getting a clear answer on where resort credits could be used felt like a mission rather than a basic request. The Checkout Disaster Checkout took a grueling 45 minutes. There was only one person working the front desk while five concierge staff congregated in the lobby nearby; not a single one was willing to step in or assist their colleague. Furthermore, the staff gave us a very hard time regarding our prepaid Expedia transportation, repeatedly attempting to double-charge us despite proof of payment. I recently celebrated my birthday weekend at Moon Palace, and overall, it was a great experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. We were greeted with drinks, warm towels, and a beautiful flower, which immediately set the tone. The check-in process was seamless—I especially appreciated how the staff handled our luggage. They took our bags, provided a ticket system, and we didn’t have to worry about anything. It felt organized, efficient, and different from any other hotel I’ve stayed at. The layout of the property is beautiful, and I loved the variety of dining options available. One thing that stood out to me was how services and excursions are charged to your room rather than paid upfront—it added a level of convenience that I really appreciated. Also, having someone personally take your bags to the room and walk you through everything was a nice touch. The food was okay—not bad, but not a standout. My main concern was with housekeeping. We checked in on Friday, and our room wasn’t cleaned until around 7 p.m. the following day. This was disappointing, especially since I saw housekeeping staff on the floor throughout the day, yet no one came to service our room until much later. Additionally, the wait time at the buffet to be seated was quite long, and it also took a while for anyone to come over and offer drinks or assistance. I’m not sure

The overall experience is very good. We've been to the moon palace Jamaica 2x and enjoy almost everything during our stay. The only things which a found unacceptable is how longs it took to checkin. Both times we waited over an hour and we were only behind 6 groups. Despite pre checking in. For a place this nice their really should be more thought put into how to expedite it this. But, other than that the food, service, the amenities the property and the overall experience was 1st class.
