“Cockroach on 2nd floor. Bug in my room. Carpet from the 90s. Bathroom not clean. I asked for a room near the elevators and he put me at the exit door. Very disappointing considering I had stayed multiple nights. I won't be back. Staff unfriendly.”

“Lovely staff interactions and a perfect two-night stay for us. I suggest you plan to drive to town as it’s not close by. Parking lots are easy to get to and are free in town.”

“I have stayed here many times and for the price you really can’t complain. However, we only had two bath towel towels, one washcloth and no soap. I tried to get in touch with the staff, but they did not answer so I just went to the dollar store and bought what I needed. Again for the price it can’t be beat. Just know you’re not in a Hilton.”

“I stayed at Rod & Reel for a family relative. Several relatives stayed there also. I was so impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk and security employees in the main lobby. One family member needed help getting to a family gathering nearby. One lady in particular went above and beyond to assist!”

“Nice enough hotel, staff was friendly. Lacks sufficient parking when it’s busy. My biggest issue was of our 3 nights at the hotel, our room was only cleaned the first night that we stayed there. We came back on days 2 & 3 to the room not being vacuumed, our beds made. None of it. We ran out of clean towels and toilet paper. We decided to leave earlier than expected and return home.”

She went above and beyond to help us when our reservation was canceled even after we were checked in.... it was a nightmare, but she helped us immensely. I will recommend The Spark to anyone traveling in Waldorf! We will also be back in the future.”

“The rooms were not properly cleaned before arrival. The towels weren’t restocked completely for the little that was cleaned. The only thing truly good about it was the location. The toilet barely flushed. The hot tub in the room was disappointing. The ironing board was warped and broken. The soap and shampoo they give you as a courtesy destroyed my skin.”

“Place was nice and quiet, a street away from the town hall, and walkable to the historic districts. Staff are friendly and nice, room was spacious. ”

“Towels & wash cloths were very DINGY, which calls into question the bed clothes as well. Also a complete lapse of communication /coordination between front desk shifts resulted in unnecessary stress and complication for check in of the 2 rooms I had reserved”
