"The room was impeccable. Very clean. It was a very large room with a partial view of the lake which was beautiful. It had a very clean kitchen which we did not use during our one night stay. The staff were very friendly and provided good customer service. The pool was nice and felt private as no one was there. The hot tub was great too! I had to wait a few minutes before the jets started but there was a timer and a clock. The fire pit was not lit outside which would’ve been a great touch as it was very cold but the fireplace inside was nice. The only negative was that the room was quite cold and the thermostat was not working. We had to use extra blankets which were provided in the room. The staff were informed and they were going to have maintenance look at it. Overall, a very nice stay. I think it would be beautiful in the spring and inner months. There would be much more to do and all the shops would be open. "

"Room was great size, location in the building was easy to get to. However my pillows stunk like cigarette smoke - I had to sleep with a towel over the pillow. Then the fire alarm went off at 3am - with no explanation in the morning. Then when I went to get breakfast at 9:55… it was all cleaned up and put away because I slept in later after the fire alarm going off. I went to just have a tea, but the ‘hot water’ was hardly warm. :( Unfortunately not a great experience. "

"Renovations and updating are much needed, but while we were there, workers were on the job to do so. Breakfast was quite good and the price is fabulous, just don't expect a lot from a hotel past its glory days. Hopefully, the owners turn around the decline moving forward."

"This is the second time we stayed here. Absolutely amazing. Clean, quiet & great service. Lots of amenities. Restaurant, pool, sauna and fresh coffee brewed in the lobby. Comfortable stay!.. This is a very nice place to stay, dine and just relax. Looking forward to returning once again. :) "
