Best Resorts in Ramona

"For its close proximity to a major freeway, the property is very quiet. Our room was on the north side of the property, which is the side away from the freeway. A dry riverbed and golf course could be viewed from our balcony. The service staff was excellent. Would DEFINITELY STAY at this property again."

"Checkin was a nightmare! 2 hours in line is unacceptable. No compensation for losing 2 hours of vacation time. No blender in the room but the staff brought me one very quickly. Tv remote would not always work. Reported it to the front desk after several hours someone came to fix it but it still gave us problems. Phone in room did not work. Had to walk to the front desk for help. Never fixed. They put us in an ADA compliant room when we did not need it. I told them they should have asked me first as maybe someone actually needed it. They responded they can’t ask and they can’t tell me that I am being out there. This is ridiculous. If someone really needed that room, it should not be wasted on someone who doesn’t need or want it. No shower door so water gets everywhere in the bathroom. The gym was nice! Much Larger than most resort gyms, lap pool a plus. Couldn’t call for a ride so had to walk a lot to get to places. Pool towels not available at every pool and they are heavily guarded when present. Not my first choice resort. It was better when owned by Welk, now owned by Hyatt. So sad to see the resort take a dive in quality. "

"The pool wasn’t heated the first day we were there which sucked cause that’s why we like to stay there and the air conditioner in our room was broken for the first 2 days and dripped water everywhere and soaked the whole floor on that side of the bed. We have stayed here multiple times but this time was not great. "

"Terrible! Room smells old and moldy, disgusting. Towels are old yellowed and dirty. Air conditioner doesn't work. Shower head is low, you have to bend down to shower (I'm 5"5). Shower head and water drain was rusted and has mold, handle was falling apart. Very low water pressure and water is not warm enough. Bed and mattress was bad, you can feel the springs inside and can see underneath the bed sheets was really dirty (hair, stains etc). Pillow was bumpy(worse than the $2ones from Walmart. Outside the hotel area/parking lot has some homeless and weirdos. booked 5nights stay, almost cried, I travel quite often and never had a hotel this bad. The only reason I gave 2stars was the location was convenient with restaurants and grocery stores near by and a gas station with 24hours convenient store. The staff seems nice and welcoming but that doesn't help with how bad the hotel itself was. I do NOT recommend this place to stay unless you really have no other options."

"View of the ocean was amazing! Disappointed that pool and hot tub area was closed due to construction—was not aware when booking and not notified upon checking in. We could hear noise from rooms above us and when anyone was walking by our door. Area around hotel was fantastic."
