"The hotel was a convenient stop over location for our trip. Usual budget hotel. Check in was easy. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was very bland. The one reason I won't return is the electric car charging facilites for the hotel (operated by Monta Charge). The price was £0.90 per kWh. That is more than any motorway charge point and much more than other Monta hotel charging points I have used before. I would have charged before arriving had I known about this Monta rip off."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful,but this is the only plus for the Hotel, the room was very tired and dated,the room below housed a number of males who talked all night and into the early hours,so much so i had to use ear plugs to try and sleep,the reception is to the side of the building as the front entrances are no longer used,the car park looks like a disused carpark,i didnt have the breakfast,as i didnt want to stay any longer than needed"

"I booked a superior room for 2 nights with my wife. We arrived about 2.30pm and the room wasn’t ready. There was some confusion from the front desk about our later dinner reservation, the receptionist stated I didn’t have a booking and despite my assertions she didn’t really seem to believe that I had booked it months ago. She said it wasn’t recorded. She only relented when I showed her their messages to me confirming the booking. Anyway, awaiting the room we went to the bar. The staff in the bar were lovely and it was well priced for a hotel, the actual bar was a little cold. When we got into the room, I can’t say it was ‘superior’. It was a little small, cold and not well lit. There was no safe nor minibar/fridge something I would have expected for £162 per night. When I raised this at reception it wasn’t well received, the lady was polite and they did put in a room heater. Evening meal was lovely and again the staff in the bar, where we ate, were lovely and provided a great service. Breakfast on the first morning was a buffet affair and in the main was well cooked. On the second morning breakfast wasn’t as good, my wife had Eggs Benedict but the poached eggs were hard (as were mine) and the Hollandaise sauce was split, we never got the requested toast- poor show chef! The actual grounds at the hotel were beautiful and lovely to walk around the lake and close by canal. Altogether it was a nice stay but not as good as I’d expected. "
