![Sandend Bay Sandend lying to the west of Sandend Bay is one of the smallest of the many old fishing villages scattered along the north-facing coasts of Moray and Aberdeenshire. Sandend beach is popular with families and for surfers, especially on a day like this. At its east end, on the horizon, lies Glenglassaugh Distillery which, once again, is producing its distinctive single malt whisky after being mothballed in 1986. ![Sandend Bay Sandend lying to the west of Sandend Bay is one of the smallest of the many old fishing villages scattered along the north-facing coasts of Moray and Aberdeenshire. Sandend beach is popular with families and for surfers, especially on a day like this. At its east end, on the horizon, lies Glenglassaugh Distillery which, once again, is producing its distinctive single malt whisky after being mothballed in 1986.
