“We always try and stay at the hotel because our family live close by.”

“The rooms are well maintained and modern with an excellent shower, unfortunately we stayed on very very hot week and there is no air con but other times of the year it would be ok. The WiFi did not work for our stay with the staff blaming different things but in the end it just didn’t work anywhere in the building. “Room clean and well set out. The major issue was I was ground floor with patio doors opening out to parking as area for the golf club.. no air conditioning in the room ment had to TRY and sleep in a 30+ room not good. Otherwise mostly ok Breakfast was not worth £19.98 nice coffee tho.. Parking & staff was ok I did expect a little more the bar was like a sports bar not my scene.”

“We’ve booked one night here at first, then we decided to go there one day before and booked one more day. We told the reception lady when we arrived check in, she said it’s ok, no need to do the check in again and we could stay in the same room. The next day at ten mins before ten, a housekeeper locked on our door and told us to check out. We’re surprised and told her our case, she told us to check with the reception. Then the reception said we’ve to check out and come back by 4 to check in……

“A beautiful country house which is elegant and calming.”

“Whilst the staff and facilities were good, I was disappointed with the food. I had the coronation chicken terrine starter.which had a large piece of chicken skin in it. The staff offered me a replacement which I declined and they did not charmed for it. I later asked if I could have fresh fruit for dessert which the said would be available for breakfast. At breakfast the only fresh fruit available was watermelon. I may be picky but I feel that these minor items should be catered for.”

“Room was barely clean whilst half lights not working. Rails to stairs hadn’t been cleaned in ages and covered in grime. At busy times the bar staff were useless more intent on chatting than helping out else where. Food was ok but the breakfast was about the worst I’d had anywhere. On one good note the chap on night duty was really helpful.”

“We stayed for 2 nights. It was a disappointing stay. The restaurant wasn't available so we only had bar food choices which was very limited as the fish fryer wasn't working. The food wasn't hot enough and we had asked for ketchup which never arrived. The tv in the room was unwatchable so ended up watching the England game on my phone which wasn't ideal. We booked single rooms however one of the rooms was located close to either air conditioning or heating equipment which was a little noisy……
