“Clean room, if tired, was nice for 2 nights though I did mention to them that the mattress in our lovely room really needed replacing.
The staff were great but clearly shorthanded. On our first night we ate in the bar, but waited an hour for our meals which were ok...
The views as shown on the ads are spot on - incredible, and we were very lucky with the weather.

“Lovely clean room with a nice bathroom. Perfect for a short stay. Came with tea/coffee, a television and free WI-FI. No mini fridge. We didn't need one so it wasn't an issue.
Breakfast was lovely with a choice of hot food and a continental breakfast. No road noise or unusual bumps in the night so had a wonderful, peaceful sleep.
Useful parking at the rear of hotel and easy access to the town of Thirsk.
Overall a lovely stay. Lovely staff. Lovely food and a lovely part of the world. ”
