“We stayed in a condo . It was clean and got beautiful direct beach views . The only issue we noticed is the dishwasher and few other things in kitchen seemed pretty old and rusted !”

“The indoor pool and jacuzzi were not monitored. The jacuzzi water was milky looking and disgusting. The indoor pool was dirty and full of sand. The cleaning staff left a dirty Mr Clean Eraser in our room one day and I told the supervisor. The next day the dirty Mr Clean Eraser was still there along with a cleaner's employee key card. The rest of the hotel was and amenities were average.”

“I stayed here in the early 1980s, when I was in my early teens. It has been upgraded since then, but still provided that wonderful nostalgic feeling I had when I first visited the Outer Banks! I wanted my kids to experience this as well, so we booked a room for several days. We stayed in a courtyard room, which was still very quiet and comfortable, despite being next to the entrance drive. Unlike most beach motels, parking was NEVER an issue! We always had a spot close to the room. The room……

“What a dump?!!!!! The only place clean was the front office. We had 3 rooms for our trip. One room was so bad our family didn't feel safe sleeping in it. The door security lock had the batteries taped in and falling apart. Cockroaches in the drawer, cigarette burns in the cheap sheets. Bathroom had mold everywhere. There were questionable men loitering in the area around the parking lot. My daghter and her family had to double up and sleep 5 adults in 2 queen beds. We all pushed furniture……

“I like to stay at Comfort Suites because you know what to expect. A nice, bright, simple CLEAN room with very comfortable beds and great sheets! This particular stay I liked because the room had nice Pergo type flooring, no carpeting, which I feel is more sanitary and smells better. The staff was absolutely wonderful from check in to check out! They were so kind and personable! Very warm and welcoming and and very helpful and informative. The continental breakfast was a wide variety and stocked……
