Nearby restaurant Smithville Inn was within walking distance and had excellent food. Fun bar within walking as well and great stores. "The staff were very friendly. The issues overshadowed this, however. The first issue was that our fridge did not work but this was quickly fixed (maybe within 45 minutes). The second issues is that the bathroom was not cleaned - there was mold, dirty, and hair around the shower door/glass rim. The final straw was that only ONE elevator was working t to get to the parking garage. One elevator out of 6 for an hotel full of people. We waited upwards of 15 minutes JUST to get on the elevator to go to the parking garage. Totally outrageous. Oh, and $4 for the bottle of water they place in your room. Overall, great customer service but I would t stay here again. "

"Hello, I’m writing to formally complain about my recent stay. The experience was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. When I first checked in, there were visible blood stains on the bed, which is a serious hygiene issue. I had to change rooms multiple times (three room changes) because of various problems. In addition, the elevators were not working during my stay, which made access to rooms very difficult. There was also constant noise from neighboring guests, including loud dogs and people being extremely loud late at night, making it impossible to rest. The overall environment felt poorly managed, and the behavior of some guests and staff was rude and unhelpful. Considering the condition of the room, the lack of working elevators, repeated room changes, and the disruptive environment, I do not feel the price charged was justified. I am requesting a refund or appropriate compensation for this stay. Please let me know how you plan to resolve this matter. Thank you."
