“Room needs a refresh head board peeling,which left stains on white pillow ,thankfully not my husbands white shirt, oh the pillows were very flat ,lovely breakfast entrance to reception needed a blast of water above very dirty when looking up, staff were all lovely”

“The staff were cheerful, and helpful. The bedrooms were clean, comfy, with large T.V. Modern ensuite bathroom with choice of bath or shower, AND quality toilet paper. If I was being picky, the only thing thing the bedroom lacked was a fridge and a lift to the 2nd floor. The hotel is also dog friendly and allowed in the bar area if you want food. The hotel carpark, was also operated by a barrier which gave piece of mind. I would definitely use the hotel again if stopping in the area.”

The house itself is directly opposite the old castle with its impressive mote complete with moorhens and ducks with their baby ducklings.
The house itself is a curious mix of antique and modern but is fascinating to look at.
