“I loved the forest access. It was a huge bonus for me. I also loved how close it was to all the other hiking areas and cloudcroft/Alamagordo. Another bonus is hpw dark it gets at night and how little light pollution there is whoch allows to see stars. “The best cozy little cabin that's conveniently near town for any quick trip you may need to take. Also has all the basic necessities! We were even surprised how much is packed in this cabin without feeling squished. There's still plenty of space! Host is also great to work with in severe weather conditions & so nice! “Outstanding little cabin and even better hosts. Anna went above and beyond to correct a minor misunderstanding. I promise you you haven't stayed in a place like this before. Everything about the house reflects a wabi-sabi sensibility: simple, natural, and incredibly calming. Honor the host's wishes and leave your shoes at the genkan. There is even a little shoe rack right inside the door to place your shoes on. Socks only in the house! Highly recommend.”
