The service was great. Floors were sandy and we had to buy mattress pads for the sofa bed. It was very uncomfortable. The queen bed was great. kids loved the pool. Close to the beach too. We had a very nice stay overall.

There was absolutely no parking, the room looked like it hadn’t been used or touched in years. It was disguising, only amenity that was given that was advertised was the outdoor pool and that was filthy. There was not one thing that looked like it did in the pictures on trivago or Expedia. Place should be shut down. The only pleasant experience was from the two night employees that checked us in. They were very helpful and personable.

Excellent ...wish I was staying longer. I will go back. A block from the beach and in the middle of everything VA Beach has to offer. I arrived early, but the staff/owner was extremely friendly and made the utmost effort to ensure everything was to my liking. The room was huge and would have been great for an extended stay, as it had everything you could want or need. The pool was very clean and was popular with all the guests. Plenty of parking. The Alamar Resort Inn is a gem, and the staff is the best. Thanks again.

Had a nice little staycation here. It's right in the middle of everything at the oceanfront. The staff were friendly and accommodating, modest clean rooms. Other guests were quiet and respectful. I'd definitely stay again

I loved how friendly the family was. They were very kind when we had to switch rooms and very patient . The only issue we had was the room we ended up with was invested with cockroaches. At night they came out and were all over our stuff. We had to shake everything out and wash before we went home. Otherwise really enjoyed the place. Just could be cleaner.

Overall is wasn't that bad could be a lot better the worst thing about the place is parking, they have 8 spots and if you are lucky enough to find one better leave your car the hole time in that spot or it's gonna be taken. Very close to the beach and shops that was nice, wasn't the best hotel but for the price can't beat it.

Spend the extra $ for a better stay somewhere else

Many items in the suite broken and many things outdated. No working microwave, coffee maker and kitchen stove not in service. Not a very clean place either. Could not get extra towels or sheets. Had to bring the dirty bath towels to the hotel front desk for clean ones. The staff was friendly, but that is about the only positive thing.

My heebies were jeebied

I knew the type of motel I was buying into, and it wasn't the worst I've seen. For what it was it was clean, A/C and fridge worked. We got locked out of our room bc the key wouldn't work and had to ring for help. We found out there's a privacy switch on the door lock that will lock out all keys except the master key. I would think it'd be beneficial to label it that way so lockouts at 2am don't happen. The whole vibe of the place and the people hanging around and/or living there just gave me and my daughter the heebie jeebies and we decided to leave and drive home early. I don't think we spent more than an hour total actually in the room. I'm glad I only paid $30 out of pocket for it, otherwise I'd be asking for a refund bc that's about all it's worth.

It is located in a very convenient place. The room we stayed was not clean at all. The bed sheets where stain, there was trash under the bed, the towels looked dirty (they had hair and had brown stains) and much other things. I liked the pool.

Worth it depending on the nightly rate

I got this last minute for under one-hundred-fifty bucks. The room was clean and renovated. There were 2 sets of towels and one small bar of soap, along with a small fridge. Pool is open ALL night long which is awesome, but a kid was screaming and playing in the pool until 4 am and no one did anything about it. Right on the beach by fun land. Excellent location and well worth the price I paid!!! Will definitely stay again. I wouldnt pay over 200/250 tho, IMO.
