“It is a charming hotel, with actual metal keys. Much more personal than a chain hotel. The television signal was not consistent, which was not surprising for the hilly location. We really enjoyed our stay. The town has many small shops, eateries which are worth enjoying”

The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever they were there, but in the morning there was no one available, and there was no one I could ask for assistance when I needed help. “The stay did not start well as there was no record of my reservation. I don't know if there was a communication problem between Expedia and the "resort" or if there was internal miscommunication. None the less, the room that I reserved was not available. Thankfully they had a different accommodation available. The cabin was acceptable, but I can not give an excellent review because the sheets were wrinkled and the towels were a synthetic fabric. I guess I am spoiled because in Europe,……

The contactless check-in was incredibly convenient, and the room felt elevated with high-end linens, luxury bath amenities, and excellent local coffee. We spent our mornings looking out at the quiet lake and our days exploring nearby Hawley and State Parks. It’s the perfect, peaceful basecamp for a weekend trip. Highly recommend!”
