“This hotel is in a very old Tudor style building with heaps of charm and quirkiness. This is a popular and busy pub/restaurant/hotel. Our room was on the top floor with access by stairs with high risers. The double bedroom was small with only one bedside table and no cupboards and only one stool so it is best suited to a one night stay. “A superb location with lovely garden views. Very serene, grand setting. Our room was in the China wing, beautiful room, very cosy. The common lounge room was inviting and grand, in fact the whole place is grand! Breakfast was excellent, select a cooked choice from the menu. Cereal, toast and juice alway available at buffet. Staff are lovely and well received at reception. Plenty of car parking. A delightful stay. Will stay longer next time. Love it.”

“The room was clean and reasonably priced. Sadly I didn’t sleep well as the mattress wasn’t very comfortable - small for a double, and it felt like we were rolling together . Hong had kindly given us a room at the back of the house as I mentioned I am a light sleeper, but because it wasn’t the property I was expecting to stay in, it meant it was near to the main road which was quite noisy through most of the night on and off.
