If one is not there for a fancy hotel room, but for sightseeing, this is a great, clean, bare bones room. It is close to the train station. We were on the 5th floor and had a great view! Breakfast was also on the 5th floor. Close proximity to all the museums and Duomo, 20 minute walk or less to everything. We walked everywhere!

Statues/sculptures were wonderful. Long line to get in. Hot and crowded inside. After getting past the 'David' statue there was less crowding and many worthwhile displays. Staff always seemed to be in a bad mood. For example, I asked for directions to the men's room and the attendant told me to just exit the building as it was too close to closing. We witnessed a shouting contest between someone who asked about the line waiting time and one of the staff members outside the building. Maybe not so bad if they'd advertise 'free entertainment'.

We had the BEST guide with skip the line tour. And early in the morning the crowd was ok. No comparison to the dreadful guide we had in the afternoon....
