"The last bit of approach to the resort is through an unpaved road. So its natural to be skeptical about what awaits you. But being in a secluded area probably gives the luxury of space. "Only one major issue. The first night of my stay the hotel moved housekeeping staff into the room above me late at night. The banging and the noise was ridiculous and when I went to the front desk at around 11:00 p.m. there was nobody there, no night staff. Hotel shouldn't be putting staff in the same quarters as paying customers. "

"We stayed one night but wished for more. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable, large, high ceilinged, basically a series of duplex cabins arranged the central reception and dining facility. It's a thoughtfully designed property. The restaurant is open to the air and up on the second floor where it catches the breeze. From the restaurant are nice views of Sigiriya off in the distance. The food was excellent. The chef, who showed an owner's attention to detail, has a lovely manner. ...

"Firstly I would like to say that the family are very friendly and lovely people however I must point out how poor our stay was . This hotel is over 5km from the Main Road where the restaurants and shops are located . The hotel is on a dirt road and not suitable if you don’t have your own transport . Tuk tuks charged 950 rupees and none of the drivers knew where it was and we had to direct them. Our room had no mini fridge which is absolutely essential when the nearest place to buy water is 5...
