700 Fifth Avenue at 55th street, New York 10019 - Map
"Great hotel on 5th Avenue"
This hotel is located basically right in 5th Avenue and 55th street. It is within walking distance to the MOMA ( Museum of Modern Art, one of my favorite museums in Manhattan) and relatively close to the Theater district (10 min by Uber or cab). The staff is excellent and rooms and bathrooms nice and spacious, though it appears to be a bit older as a hotel (it has an inside staircase to reach the Lobby and the elevators are a bit older). . If you plan to stay in midtown Manhattan and do not want to stay at one of the mega- hotels it is a very good choice.

"Hip, clean and spacious"
This hotel was recently redone. The rooms are very modern and comfortable with plenty of space including a sitting area. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We also enjoyed the complimentary use of the bikes. I also liked having the three main newspapers available.

"Affordable hotel in great location"
This is the second time I stayed in this hotel. The rooms are spacious, the hotel staff excellent, and the distance to tourist attractions short. Even though the the rooms show some signs of wear and tear, I still think it's an excellent hotel for the price. The amenities like whirlpool, sauna, steam room, and 24 hr gym are great. Inside of the hotel is a nice lawn like space where you can hang out, play table tennis, plan your activities or just work. The staff is just great and very helpful. They also have a nice little restaurant attached which offers happy hour specials in the early evenings. I highly recommend this hotel.

"For 50+ age group"
Excellent location for high-end boutique shopping, very nice staff. Once the renovation is completed, it will be again one of the top hotels in New York. Right now, the room price (by New York standards) is pretty fair, as the renovation is still ongoing and some occasional noise must be expected between 8 am and 5 pm. No such problems during the night though.

"Fabulous all around"
Julia at the front desk was so attentive to detail. She noticed I was pregnant and asked if I had any cravings. She sent up cookies, cupcakes and sparkling water to make our babymoon all the more special. I love how highly rated restaurants were simply downstairs and we didn't have to uber anywhere if we didn't want to. although there was no coffee pot in the room, hot tea and coffee were served in the lobby in the mornings. It's close enough to great shops and restaurants (couple blocks) from the park, which made it convenient.

Fall in Love With New York

The best time of year to visit New York City is during the fall months. From September to mid-November, the weather isn’t too cold, and you’ll be able to see the beautiful foliage in bloom. Even if you’re staying in the heart of the city, you’ll still see all of the orange and brown leaves from the trees that line the streets. Central Park is the ideal place to visit during the fall, so you can take in the wide variety of trees, flowers, and birds. The park makes for the perfect romantic getaway as you’ll be able to take a relaxing stroll through the area or rent a rowboat. This pristine weather is also perfect for travelers who love cycling. Some of the hotels in New York even offer bike rentals as one of their services. During the winter months, you can take a ride on one of the local buses that can take you to one of the ski resorts north of the city.

Taste What New York Is Made Of

While you’re staying at one of the New York resorts, your taste buds will be on the trip of a lifetime as well. You’ve probably heard rumors that New York pizza is better than anything you’ve ever tasted, and when you eat at one of the local pizzerias, you’ll see why. As you walk through the concrete jungle of New York City, you’ll see an endless amount of locally owned pizzeria serving delicious slices as big as your head. After trying one of the city’s famous slices, you’ll be able to visit some of the most popular attractions, like Times Square. In this area of the city, you can spend an entire day people watching, shopping, and seeing a Broadway show. For a more scenic and historical adventure, you can catch a ferry out to Ellis Island to visit the Statue of Liberty. During your stay in New York, you should familiarize yourself with the intricate subway system, so you have a cheap transportation option when you want to explore the city.

Book a Resort With the Right Amenities will help you find the perfect resort that has amenities to make your stay as convenient as possible. You’ll be able to find all-inclusive resorts with on-site restaurants and spas, or you can stay at a more family-friendly resort that has multiple pools and game rooms for the children. Many of the resorts in New York provide shuttle services to nearby golf courses, so you can go out and practice your swing while you’re on vacation. If you’re looking for a night of cocktails, dancing and mingling with the local New Yorkers, you can stay at a resort near Times Square or Madison Square Garden, which gives you easy access to nightclubs and bars. Some of the New York resorts have lounges that host happy hours or wine events, so you can enjoy a nightcap without having to leave.

    Local Geography

New York City is mostly flat, which made the city perfect for constructing skyscrapers and other buildings. You won’t have to travel far if you want to go hiking and enjoy nature because Upstate New York is only an hour away. Here, you can visit Harriman State Park, which is covered in colorful trees, and you can spend a day out on the lake. South of New York, you can plan a day trip to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, or the Garden State, New Jersey. If you’re looking for some diversity during your trip, each of the Five Burroughs of New York offers a unique atmosphere, and they are easily accessible by way of subway or taxi.

When you’re ready to book your trip to New York, let help you save money on resorts, flights and rental cars.
