"close to everything -very convenient"
I had pre-paid and booked 2 rooms months ago, when we checked in, I was told one of my rooms were accidentally given away or deleted-woops. They immediately replaced with another one and the customer service was excellent -they saw my company wasn't happy to initially hear the news after a very long day. breakfast was great-different choices from croissants to drinks and staff was very nice. the only issue I encountered with the room is that the bedroom heater did not work, maintenance came and we thought it was fixed but we were freezing..the living room heater worked fine-also the shower door did not close completely and they could fix the sink drain-water builds up when you wash your face or brush your teeth-one of my pet peeves. Other than that, thank you for a lovely stay, great customer service.

"good position to access all of NYC"
its a great hotel, used three times now, it was close to being perfect just the usual couple of silly things that should have been avoided, I had booked two rooms, strangely had the same experience with both, ordered ice from reception for pre evening drinks from the mini bar, waited 20 minutes called again waited another 15 no ice arrived, was also surprised was there for 6 nights and the mini bar was not refreshed? the Italian restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent and would highly recommended. would stay again and possible pre order ice with booking! :-)

"Nice hotel centrally located in manhattan."
Very nice hotel. Rooms are not that large but it was expected with space being at a premium in Manhattan. Only downside is the noise from cars honking all night. But this may be true of any hotel in Manhattan.

"Good hotel for business or pleasure"
It's well located in Chelsea with very nice, spacious rooms. Lobby is a bit dark and you can't order drinks there from the bar it connects to; separate ownership. Good value. Ten minute walk to theaters. Right on Sixth avenue so easy to get uptown. I like the location and the comfy bed in the room. I would go back there.

Fall in Love With New York

The best time of year to visit New York City is during the fall months. From September to mid-November, the weather isn’t too cold, and you’ll be able to see the beautiful foliage in bloom. Even if you’re staying in the heart of the city, you’ll still see all of the orange and brown leaves from the trees that line the streets. Central Park is the ideal place to visit during the fall, so you can take in the wide variety of trees, flowers, and birds. The park makes for the perfect romantic getaway as you’ll be able to take a relaxing stroll through the area or rent a rowboat. This pristine weather is also perfect for travelers who love cycling. Some of the hotels in New York even offer bike rentals as one of their services. During the winter months, you can take a ride on one of the local buses that can take you to one of the ski resorts north of the city.

Taste What New York Is Made Of

While you’re staying at one of the New York resorts, your taste buds will be on the trip of a lifetime as well. You’ve probably heard rumors that New York pizza is better than anything you’ve ever tasted, and when you eat at one of the local pizzerias, you’ll see why. As you walk through the concrete jungle of New York City, you’ll see an endless amount of locally owned pizzeria serving delicious slices as big as your head. After trying one of the city’s famous slices, you’ll be able to visit some of the most popular attractions, like Times Square. In this area of the city, you can spend an entire day people watching, shopping, and seeing a Broadway show. For a more scenic and historical adventure, you can catch a ferry out to Ellis Island to visit the Statue of Liberty. During your stay in New York, you should familiarize yourself with the intricate subway system, so you have a cheap transportation option when you want to explore the city.

Book a Resort With the Right Amenities

Expedia.com will help you find the perfect resort that has amenities to make your stay as convenient as possible. You’ll be able to find all-inclusive resorts with on-site restaurants and spas, or you can stay at a more family-friendly resort that has multiple pools and game rooms for the children. Many of the resorts in New York provide shuttle services to nearby golf courses, so you can go out and practice your swing while you’re on vacation. If you’re looking for a night of cocktails, dancing and mingling with the local New Yorkers, you can stay at a resort near Times Square or Madison Square Garden, which gives you easy access to nightclubs and bars. Some of the New York resorts have lounges that host happy hours or wine events, so you can enjoy a nightcap without having to leave.

    Local Geography

New York City is mostly flat, which made the city perfect for constructing skyscrapers and other buildings. You won’t have to travel far if you want to go hiking and enjoy nature because Upstate New York is only an hour away. Here, you can visit Harriman State Park, which is covered in colorful trees, and you can spend a day out on the lake. South of New York, you can plan a day trip to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, or the Garden State, New Jersey. If you’re looking for some diversity during your trip, each of the Five Burroughs of New York offers a unique atmosphere, and they are easily accessible by way of subway or taxi.

When you’re ready to book your trip to New York, let Expedia.com help you save money on resorts, flights and rental cars.
