"Great location "
Beautiful room. Nice staff. Very accommodating. If I had to say one thing it would be that I contacted the hotel prior letting them know that it was my daughter's 18th birthday and was hoping there'd be a little surprise in the room for her. Maybe a flower or something. But there wasn't so I was little disappointed but other than that I was still give them a five star looking forward to going back

"Old-world elegance in the heart of Manhattan"
My wife and I were celebrating an anniversary and stayed at the Carlyle for 5 nights. The hotel is located about 1 block from the western edge of Central Park, just off Park Avenue. The neighborhood is very upscale with a lot of boutique shopping and fine dining options in the immediate area. There is a subway station a couple of blocks away and there are always town cars and taxis available at the front door. The hotel is elegant and very up-scale but with an old world feel. Lots of marble, textiles, polished brass, etc. The staff is excellent and accommodating in every way. There is also an excellent dining room in the hotel as well as a popular lounge and jazz bar.

"Literally has everything (except a rollercoaster)"
Pros: - Awesome location, right on 42nd street (10 min to Times Square). - Great, clean rooms (stayed in a 4 bed, pictures are accurate). - Hotel Amenities (spa, sauna, massage, deck chairs, table tennis, outdoor areas) - Known as a "straight friendly" hotel, if you're a gay couple you'll feel more than welcome here. - Friendly staff - Worth the price I paid Cons: - Honestly can not think of any

"Understated luxury in iconic location"
Ritz-Carlton have a deserved reputation for luxury but this hotel had a great location at Battery Park, looking out to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We had two rooms, one with a view out over the Hudson in which the hotel had thoughtfully provided a telescope! The other was a large corner room which had enough space to allow a rollaway bed. The staff were almost entirely excellent- friendly and efficient. My wife had a difficult time persuading a manager to let us have a 2 hour extension to one room for a late checkout but that was the only grumble. The gym was well appointed with a large array of equipment, both machines and free standing weights. Manhattan is a big place, but if you want to stay downtown, we would highly recommend the Ritz Carlton Battery Park!

Fall in Love With New York

The best time of year to visit New York City is during the fall months. From September to mid-November, the weather isn’t too cold, and you’ll be able to see the beautiful foliage in bloom. Even if you’re staying in the heart of the city, you’ll still see all of the orange and brown leaves from the trees that line the streets. Central Park is the ideal place to visit during the fall, so you can take in the wide variety of trees, flowers, and birds. The park makes for the perfect romantic getaway as you’ll be able to take a relaxing stroll through the area or rent a rowboat. This pristine weather is also perfect for travelers who love cycling. Some of the hotels in New York even offer bike rentals as one of their services. During the winter months, you can take a ride on one of the local buses that can take you to one of the ski resorts north of the city.

Taste What New York Is Made Of

While you’re staying at one of the New York resorts, your taste buds will be on the trip of a lifetime as well. You’ve probably heard rumors that New York pizza is better than anything you’ve ever tasted, and when you eat at one of the local pizzerias, you’ll see why. As you walk through the concrete jungle of New York City, you’ll see an endless amount of locally owned pizzeria serving delicious slices as big as your head. After trying one of the city’s famous slices, you’ll be able to visit some of the most popular attractions, like Times Square. In this area of the city, you can spend an entire day people watching, shopping, and seeing a Broadway show. For a more scenic and historical adventure, you can catch a ferry out to Ellis Island to visit the Statue of Liberty. During your stay in New York, you should familiarize yourself with the intricate subway system, so you have a cheap transportation option when you want to explore the city.

Book a Resort With the Right Amenities will help you find the perfect resort that has amenities to make your stay as convenient as possible. You’ll be able to find all-inclusive resorts with on-site restaurants and spas, or you can stay at a more family-friendly resort that has multiple pools and game rooms for the children. Many of the resorts in New York provide shuttle services to nearby golf courses, so you can go out and practice your swing while you’re on vacation. If you’re looking for a night of cocktails, dancing and mingling with the local New Yorkers, you can stay at a resort near Times Square or Madison Square Garden, which gives you easy access to nightclubs and bars. Some of the New York resorts have lounges that host happy hours or wine events, so you can enjoy a nightcap without having to leave.

    Local Geography

New York City is mostly flat, which made the city perfect for constructing skyscrapers and other buildings. You won’t have to travel far if you want to go hiking and enjoy nature because Upstate New York is only an hour away. Here, you can visit Harriman State Park, which is covered in colorful trees, and you can spend a day out on the lake. South of New York, you can plan a day trip to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, or the Garden State, New Jersey. If you’re looking for some diversity during your trip, each of the Five Burroughs of New York offers a unique atmosphere, and they are easily accessible by way of subway or taxi.
