"Great desert find"
We stayed here frequently during the winter break. Waters are clean and relaxing. Be aware that it is family friendly and some parents allow their kids to be loud in pool area after hours. Rooms are always clean and room service is good. Try the miracle burger, it's delicious. Nice for romantic getaways if you don't mind kids. They offer spa treatments and have a restaurant on site. I will go again but maybe during the week day when it's quieter.

"Luke Warm Spa"
I found the mineral water pools to be only luke warm which undermined the experience. Our room was spacious, clean, and the bed was comfortable with lots of stuffed pillows. The sliding door to the bathroom was noisy and did not provide a feeling of privacy. The bathroom was spacious and the fixtures worked and were modern. There was a bounty of fast hot water. The restaurant was reasonably price and the food and service was excellent. That being said, I would suggest your driving into Palm Springs for dinner and a walk along the main street on at least one of your days. The massage services were excellent and fairly priced. I STRONGLY suggest you take a day trip the Joshua Tree National Park, which was just spectacular. The hotel room walls are paper thin, creating a situation where you can actually hear the conversations of your neighbors.

"comfortable for resting"
The hotel is about 8 miles or a 20 min drive from the exciting parts of Palm Springs (i.e. Art museums), so be prepared to have transportation. The hotel cafe menu is overpriced so just go down the street (2 blocks) to Starbucks instead. Not the nicest area but that's probably why the hotel rooms are affordable. the shower was nice and the bed was comfortable. The maids were up and around by 830am, just FYI.

"I enjoyed my stay "
I decided to book a room at the International Hotel and Suites for 4 nights in the Palm Desert months in advance. The low price ($86 per night), the spacious looking rooms, and the full kitchen that was advertised in each room was attractive to me. I became worried as I was reading the 50/50 (good and bad) reviews. I wanted to make sure I had a nice little getaway without feeling like I'm staying in a trashy hotel that is run down with crappy wifi (the worst lol). I reserved the Studio Suite which comes with a king bed, full sized kitchen, and a pool view. I arrived at the hotel at check-in time and was helped by the very nice man at the front desk. I requested to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms and he said that he believed mine was newly renovated and if it wasn't up to my standards then he can see what he could do. My room was newly renovated and I'm very happy with it. It's very spacious. There is ample lighting throughout the entire room. The kitchen with the full sized fridge is very nice. The kitchen is also stocked with spoons, forks, bowls, plates, cups, spatulas, knives etc. The stove is electric, there's a microwave that works well and is clean. The room also comes with a Keurig, which is awesome. The room has an apartment kind of feel, which I love. The bed is large and comfortable, although a little lumpy and noisy. I got some good nights sleep though. There's a TV in the room, and it is a little small, wish it was bigger. But I didn't wind up using

"Great place for kids!"
We always come here because they have 2 waterslides for the kids. The pool is kept at 78°-80° year round. We love it because every unit comes with a kitchen. It saves us a lot of time and money feeding these little monkeys after they get out of the pool. I love the resort have been coming here for almost 20 years only downside....cell phone coverage. If you're like me and you NEED your cell phone to be working 24/7 you might want to reconsider. You'll get 1 maybe 2 bars. Other than that it's a great resort.

Best and Worst Times to Visit Palm Springs

The summertime is the least popular time to visit this desert destination, unless you don’t mind sweltering temperatures in the triple digits. While the 100+ degrees F weather may deter some, if you do decide to visit during this time, stay somewhere with a pool and air conditioning.

The best time to visit Palm Springs is between January and May, when the days are warm and the nights are cool. Daytime temperatures are usually comfortable around the 70s and 80s F, which as a result, attract hordes of vacationers looking to escape winter weather. Post-summer season, from October to December, is another pleasant time to vacation here. Temperatures range from the high 60s to the low 90s F. Rates are also slightly cheaper during this time because it’s before the winter rush.

    Things to Do

Brave the heat and explore the great outdoors during your romp in Palm Springs. Embark on the Palm Canyon Trail to the Stone Palms in the Palm Springs Canyon. This hike boasts the juxtaposition of dry desert scenery and rushing waterfalls. For an easy stroll, check out the Tahquitz Canyon trail, and for more challenging terrain, hit the Skyline Train. During your stay, mosey through the Moorten Botanical Garden, and don’t miss the panoramic views from the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.

If you’d prefer to avoid the desert temperatures, spend an afternoon exploring the indoor museums. Linger around the exhibits at the Palm Springs Art Museum and examine the WWII aircraft at the Palm Springs Air Museum. While you’re in town, catch a quirky production of The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies or treat yourself to some retail therapy at the Palm Springs Outlets. However you decide to spend your desert vacation, rest up at one of the top Palm Springs resorts in town.
