“The cottage we got was not the one shown in the pictures. The main door had a broken glass, replaced with plywood. The kitchen had pots and pans, but nothing to cook on (only a microwave). Also, knobs on drawers kept falling off which made accessing kitchen utensils and dishes difficult. The bed was comfy, but the only other place to sit was a small outdoor bistro table set with 2 chairs. Not comfortable. The shower has a leak (a constant drip) and the bathroom faucet needs a good scrub. The……

“Great location, “private dock”, place was clean with exception of some beer bottles on the back deck. Hard to communicate with host. No ammenties, TV does not work, not much plates or glasses, and no soap or shampoo in showers. Beds were good and towels provided. Did have a small mouse pop up at the front door which is locked but no one minds an extra visitor right. I’d say not a bad stay but not as good as listing suggests. Book at your own risk.”

“We recently stayed at this cottage outside of Gravenhurst, and it was by far the worst vacation rental we have ever experienced. The property was not just dated—it was filthy and appeared to have been neglected. Upon arrival, there were no kitchen cloths, no paper towels, and only a 2 half rolls of toilet paper with no extras provided. The cottage smelled strongly of cigarette smoke mixed with mould. The dishwasher was full of partially cleaned dishes, and several kitchen cupboard doors were……

“This place is a complete scam. Upon arrival the reception area is locked and there is no one there to greet you or take you to your cabin. The cabin was not ready on time and we waited for it to be cleaned. This property is extremely run down and filthy inside cabins (reeked of mould, ripped curtains, soiled sofa, broken tiles, filthy stove & kitchen area, soiled bed frame, walls were grey with grime, bathroom is smaller than most powder rooms). The photos of the cabins must have been altered……
