Admire the whitewashed façade of the 18th-century Iglesia de San Lucas, which provides religious services in English and Spanish. Visit adjacent Amelia Wilkes Square for its picturesque gardens and excellent views of the rest of the coastal city. Here, you’ll find the Natural History Museum of Cabo San Lucas, whose exhibits cover the geological and paleontological history of the region. See the historic naval equipment and learn about indigenous people from the area.

Head to the nearby Casa de la Cultura for all types of classes in dance and art in a rustic building. In the Zen-Mar Mask Gallery choose from the array of traditional and artisanal masks available. Stop at the taquerias and seafood hubs to try the local specialties, which include tacos and a chilaquiles dish of corn tortillas, salsa and cheese.
