Comfortable Coastal Stay
While the home was not very modern or fancy it is a very comfortable home. It's large and roomy with very comfy beds which was a lovely surprise. Most rentals have horribly uncomfortable beds. It was a great location being right across from the bay with beach locations just a hop skip and a jump down the road. Clamming, crabbing, fishing, hiking, or beachcombing is all right at your fingertips. The neighborhood is not a wealthy area but the neighbors were all very friendly and gave us information on the best places to do certain activities. The property is fenced off with more than enough room for our dog to run and play and to set up a Croquette course. The owner is a very nice man who was also provided us with lots of good information. We really enjoyed our stay and will most likely return to stay in the future.

Very nice accommodations. Close to boat launch. My only complaint is that the dog 2 doors down barked all night, so I got very little sleep. If the dog could go away, I would recommend this property. As is, I would not recommend that anyone try to sleep here.. sorry, I know it’s not your fault, but it is a huge annoyance

Feels like going home.
We've stayed here before and will be here again in July. I love everything about this property. I would not change anything about it. I can't imagine coming to Oregon and not staying here. The only complaint is that the restaurants close early, so if you're a late eater be aware.

We were so disappointed we didn't stay
This property was a huge disappointment! The location was totally disappointing. NOT private - the property was surrounded by chain-link fencing - the main entry side the house was facing a mobile home park & the other side (where the 2-burner bbq was located) a neighbor with the geese & goat next door was sweet, but we didn't appreciate the noise when they were agitated... The house smelled musty. The master bathroom was gross & toilet seat was broken. When I opened a kitchen cupboard a huge smell of mold hit me in the head. There was a can of Raid bug spray by the fridge... didn't bode well with us... The rest of the house was equally disappointing. What more can I say? We were disappointed & discussed...

This was perfect for our family and our fur babies. We loved the spacious home and they loved the 2 acres of fenced in yard. Only thing we would want to change is the cost.

Would not return
Very large lot, great for the dog but the house had a damp musty smell. The windows were hard to use to allow fresh air into home. Home was located near a major road and cars passed by throughout the night making it difficult to sleep. The garbage can was overflowing when we arrived. After the first night we ended up picking up garbage in the morning due to the birds getting into the garbage can. The neighborhood was dirty and a lot of clutter in plan sight. Would not return or recommend this location.

Puppy Playhouse or Critter Castle?
It was a fun weekend, especially for our GSD and our friend’s doodle. A definite place to stay for pups that like to run, tons of room inside and out. Downfalls (just a couple) 1. The neighbor started mowing his lawn at 9:30 pm and wasn’t done until after 10:00 pm. 2. A little critter lives in the kitchen. It loves danishes and English muffins, but doesn’t leave any visible droppings. 3. There was only 1 washcloth found in each bathroom and no more in the hall cabinet.

Never got code to get into the home!
No information sent to me on how to enter, no neighbors knew how , ended up putting my son threw the window. washer was broken , sketchy neighbor hood , parked a truck out front of property on checkout day for 1 extra hour leaving a note on the door that we left the property at 7 am and would be back at noon to grab the extra truck, and was charged a whole extra day for late checkout , called Vacasa and no one ever returned my call! Trash cans were all labeled recycling so wasn’t sure what one to use for trash !

Dated double wide trailer with lots of pet stains on carpet and cramped entry stairs. Positive things: comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, spacious seating. Location is “sketchy”. Wouldn’t stay again. Overpriced.

Convenient location, spacious house
Central to the places we wanted to go to - Bandon, Dunes City, Florence, hiking, and beach/coves. House had everything we needed, though a little bit on the run down side with minor issues like bathroom not locking properly, etc. Overall, a pleasant stay if you don't need a modern, up-to-date home to stay in.

Not worth the price!
The only pro to this house was the space for two families staying together (group of 8). It stank so bad we aired it out until it was so cold we had to shut the windows. The blinds didn't work. We killed one mouse and tried to trap the second one we saw, but it got away. The neighbors were screaming and very shady looking neighborhood! We were told there was a fire pit, but the wasn't. There was mouse and rat poop under the sink cabinets and under the stove. The hidabed was very uncomfortable! The huge lawn that could've been awesome was way overgrown and full of weeds, more like a field. We could've stayed at a luxury hotel for the price we paid. I asked questions to the owner through VRBO and didn't get responses. Very dissatisfied customer.

Mixed feelings
I have mixed feelings about staying here. The owners go through a 3rd party for communication, so it was difficult when we had any questions. The first thing was that less than an hour after we arrived a truck that was not apart of our party pulled into the private driveway and pulled in front of a 3 car shop that is 6 feet between the back of the house. The person in the truck was sitting in their truck for at least 10 minutes before my husband decided to go out there an ask who he was. Upon asking the guy who he was , he said that he has a boat he stores in the garage and rents a room in their. Since there was nothing about sharing the property with another renter in the description I called the only phone number that was given to me, which was a 3rd party. I waited on hold for a while before being directed to a call center. I asked them if they could get a hold of someone to find out who this guy was and if this was true about him renting a room in the shop. After 2 hours I got a call back from the "property manager" who told me that she has been trying to get a hold of the owner. She told me she would call me back, but never did our whole trip (we stayed 3 nights). Luckily the guy left the following day after staying in the shop behind the house all night. We had two nine years old girls who were uncomfortable staying in the house the 1st night because of him. Also, the property says dog friendly, but if your dog doesn't get along with other dogs would not recommend staying here. As you walk out back to the side of the house towards the dog run and barbecue the neighbors 2 dogs come charging at the fence while barking very loudly. They would not stop barking until you went inside. On our last night one of the neighbors dogs barked most of the night. The house was well taken care of and the beds were comfy. It was a great location for going to the dunes.

Lots of room inside and outside too. Had to add a pet at the last minute and did so easily thru the reservation site. Nice doggy bed and bowl provided too. Large dining space and breakfast counter also by the kitchen. Two large living and lounging spaces. Outside is a ss sink for cleaning fish and seafood with a patio table and chairs. We had perfect weather and just wished we had more time. The host was very responsive. Showed up exactly on time to fix a minor hiccup with the living room blinds. Fixed it in a minute.

Nice place
Loved the layout and decor inside and how close it is to town if you go right and then to the left is Charleston and Cape Arago State Park and the beaches and beautiful views along the way. Also loved they accepted pets. Overall a nice stay but some things need to be fixed. Don’t pull the blinds up because they are very difficult to put back down. We thought it was just us until we read in the guest book it is a problem everybody has. Some window screens need to be replaced. I don’t know if someone has tried to get in but a few of them are bent. Screen doors might be nice as flies get in when the door is open for any amount of time. Just for renters to know you do hear cars on the highway at night and one night we had some loud bass music from next door. We brought our 2 German Shorthaired Pointers with us and they spotted the rabbits, chickens, and geese next door. That was a challenge but I loved seeing them all room range free😁 I think the gate should be moved back a bit to allow more room to open and close the gate. Also the picture shows nicely cut short green grass but it was tall and weeds, should be freshly cut if someone is renting it. There is not a deck that has 2 chairs on it like the picture also shows. Although there are some supplies in the kitchen that are not there. Aluminum foil, plastic wrap, baggies and then there was only 1 roll of paper towels, 1 laundry pod and 1 dryer sheet. We have rented places before and they were much more stocked than this one. Master bath is kinda old and a slow leak at the faucet. Just some things need to be fixed but an overall nice stay....
