Lovely Property!

The home is lovely and charming in a beautiful neighborhood. Very close to town. Our only surprise was the fact that the double bed is actually a trundle bed that you can use as your double bed. Very clean, very charming.

Little Red has a Big Heart

What a lovely property. Perfect layout and location to visit the area. We stayed for a long weekend and it was ideal. We enjoyed the hot tub, hosted a Sunday brunch, were able to walk to town, hike trails, and generally get around easily for all of our daily activities. The property is spacious and clean. Lovely.

Mothers Day Tulip Festival

Came for a long weekend and really enjoyed our visit. The rental was a great fit for our group. Loved the hot tub, kitchen area, comfortable beds and grounds. Well stocked kitchen. Drove to Holland for the Tulip Festival, checked out a few wineries, found some great beach rocks, played games and enjoyed a family getaway.

Wedding stay

The house and grounds were meticulous, and the interior was perfect. Everything we needed. Modern, clean and comfortable! The renter was checking in regularly via text to see if we were comfortable. Easy walk to the town. I can’t recommend it enough!

Wonderful House in Douglas

This was my 3rd time renting this house in Douglas, and I just love it! It's really comfortable, well equipped with the basic supplies needed and has a great backyard with patio, hot tub and fire pit to enjoy. It is located in a quiet part of town, although just a few blocks walk to downtown Douglas/Center Street where there are charming restaurants and shops. Also a quick drive to the Lake Michigan beaches nearby. This house is a great alternative to Saugatuck which has become so crowded in the summer.

Robbery

Everything about this stay was a disaster. At the 4pm “guaranteed check-in,” cleaning had barely started, the cleaner left abruptly, and the place was unfinished. No paper towels, no toilet paper, one towel for the whole group. The fridge was broken—maintenance blamed “previous guests” and told me to pull it out, unplug it, and wait hours to defrost. He said he “didn’t have any magic”, so we lived out of a cooler until the next day. Nice way to treat your guests. The guest house shower was filthy (hair, bugs) and the “guest” shower was unusable—just a trickling handheld with the main faucet stuck on. An automated “how’s it going?” text was ignored when I requested towels. The hot tub was off-limits due to a massive hornet’s nest, and when we notified them, they came over and tore it apart, didn’t treat it, and said they’d “come back when the bees were less angry” - which was after our stay concluded. So all in all, we had no towels or toilet paper, one functioning shower to share across 8 guests, a late check in, a fridge that didn’t work, a hot tub and yard that weren’t usable due to a stinging insect infestation, and “support” that was dismissive/rude.It’s unfortunate because the location and aesthetics of the house itself were both great, but very little was as advertised and I’d very strongly suggest booking elsewhere.
