"We loved our stay at The Southern. The property is amazing - beautiful, spacious, and wonderfully private. It's the perfect place to unplug from a busy life. The house is lovely and we immediately felt right at home. It's comfortable, spacious, and the kitchen has everything a home chef needs. We spent our mornings reading and playing guitar by the pond. Afternoons hiking at one of the many trails a short car ride away. We were sad to leave and definitely plan to return to this gem in the woods....

It is located on a property with several other cabins and a community area with cornhole and tether ball. Everything was clean. I would recommend to a couple who wanted neighbors and a sweet community to share the evening with."

"Ive been down to Shawnee a few times for the New Year but this was our first stay (but hopefully not the last) at this great cabin. It was a great location - minutes from Garden of the Gods and close to our other favorite hikes in the Bell Springs area. The cabin itself was clean, with a nice kitchen, 2 nice bathrooms (with plenty of hot water) and bedrooms and fun stuff for the kiddos (my daughter loved the air hockey table). The hot tub was a real treat after a day of hiking in the cold....

Well stocked & I loved how the layout was spread out, which gave us all privacy. The proximity of Garden of the Gods was great & we got to see the horses that live on the land. Relaxing in the hot tub after hiking was the best & we’ve decided we should make Elizabeth’s birthday in Elizabethtown a tradition! See you next year!"
