“Very convenient in centre of seaford. Large room with sea view! Simple but comfortable. Ideal for walkers on the coast path. Had a nice fish pie in the bar too.”

“My 5th time staying at Trading Boundaries. Always clean and the room has everything you could need. Grounds are lovely, especially nice to sit outside in the sun! Delicious continental breakfast and coffee in the morning. I’ll be back again soon!”

“Very helpful and friendly staff, it was a heatwave and unfortunately the fan we were given could not cut the heat which led to a restless night with the sun streaming in from 5:30. Breakfast was tasty but limited due to staff and delivery issues but the staff that were available were going out of their way to keep issues to a minimum.”

“Very pleasantly surprised this is an absolute gem of a find. Easy access to Brighton by bus or car. Clean and comfortable rooms and great food. I’m a pescatarian so don’t eat meat so they are missing a trick with the Jamaican fayre as Mac & Cheese would have gone down well however great price and warm welcome and will come back again probably before the summer is finished.”

“Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. ”

“Beautifully presented hotel, lovely setting, room was fabulous with lovely toiletries. Staff were friendly and attentive and great that there’s a car park too. Breakfast was fab too.”

“We booked The Relais Cooden beach via Expedia particularly for its location and spa facilities. We had booked the "Cosy double room" because that was all that was left. On arrival we tried to book spa treatments but there were no available bookings during our three night stay. This was disappointing as there was no mention on the Expedia website that you needed to book in advance. Apparently, guests who booked directly with the hotel enjoyed free use of the spa whereas booking through Expedia……

“The hotel is old but very nicely maintained and uniquely decorated; great food in the bar/restaurant, though a bit pricey for a very small community like this. Staff are helpful as well.”

“Staff very friendly and helpful. Evening meal great. Pool area/amenities disappointing. A little tired; steam room nonexistent. Saunas squashed into a corner between toilets and showers (in separate male/female cloakrooms) extremely uninviting!!!!”
