Angler's Cove condominiums are located about a par-4 golf hole (and often downwind) from the Marco Island sewage treatment plant. Yes, it smells.
As someone who worked with sewage treatment facilities for 35 years, I picked up the smell quickly, and a look at the satellite image on your favorite online mapping app clearly shows the sewage treatment tanks and associated equipment just south of Angler's Cove.
The decision not to disclose this issue does not reflect well on VRBO or Clausen Properties Rentals, Inc.
Additionally, Angler's Cove is very smoker friendly (we are not), and there is a large smoking area right underneath the unit we were in. That area is occupied during the dinner hour every day, weather permitting, by a loud group of residents who find themselves quite amusing. We did not. We could not use our balcony/lanai as much as we would have liked.
The condo unit itself was fine, and generally we enjoyed our time on Marco Island. But we did not appreciate being surprised by the odor issues and noisy/inconsiderate people and would not choose to stay again at Angler's Cove.
