This cool apartment has all comfort, fully stocked kitchen and private bath. Living area offer two King Size bed (2.00x1.95 m), air condition, plasma TV 40', table with chair, desk, space for hang up dress and comlete shower-rest room. Kitchen has big refrigerator with large freezer, gas stove with standart owen, all dishes. Outdoors you can find your own private courtyard and small garage.
Price are including bills of elecricity, gas for boilers, water, cable TV, WIFI cover of internet 5MBps, thash servis and servis for necesities in the garden (clean, water, cut etc.). Perfect for budget minded students, youth couples or pensioners. House is situated by quiet neighborhood near historic centre, about 15 minutes by taxi (20-30 Mexican pesos, cca 2-3 USD). The same distance are commercial places on periphery.
Merida is the largest city on the Yucatan Peninsula, situated 30 kilometers (20 miles) to see the beach. Rental car available for $350 Mexican pesos (cca 35 USD) per day. There are many cultural events to enjoy that are free, as well as museums, zoo, movie theaters, symphony, galleries, parks and much more ...

Local tropical weather is humid and hot during the Summer time, but Winter months are warm and lovely sunny with temperatures between 20-30 °C degrees (68 - 77 °F). There are two rainy seasons, in the late Summer months and early part of the calendar year.

Connection flights to Merida - from Miami takes 1.5 hour, from Mexico City 1.5 hour, from Cancún 1 hour. Driving from Cancún 3.5 hour by speedway. There are direct US flights from Houston, Atlanta, and Miami via Cancun.

Terrible horrible crack house

First of all it was false advertising, we rented private 2 bed and got a filthy studio, not private, not safe. Do not recommend. I any even begin how horrible it was

Just what I was looking for!

I admit that at first I was a bit worried about the reviews I saw posted after I had booked. If you're looking for a 5 star American hotel, maybe this isn't for you – but it is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Jaro was helpful with whatever I needed/asked for. It was quiet and peaceful in this area of town. I could easily walk into the center in about 35 minutes, or for 8 pesos, catch the camion on the corner and be there in just a few minutes. I felt perfectly safe walking home at 2am. If I was tired, I could call an uber from the wifi parks in the center. There was a great fruit store, an authentic local torta place, great tacos, and laundry as well, all within 2 blocks. Of all things, the best vegan restaurant of my life (and quite possibly the best restaurant in Merida!) is about 5 short blocks, and not expensive! (And I'm not vegetarian!) There is a lovely park to sit in with fountains and shade next to the restaurant. AC worked fabulously - a clear necessity for a girl from MN. The kitchen, fridge, stove, oven, pots, utensils – all quite functional for the budget conscious eating a majority of meals at home. Everyone I met was helpful and nice, and not in that "I'll be nice cause I want your money" sort of way. My two week stay there was incredible and I'm so sad to be home! Perfect and the price was right. Hope to return soon!

Property could be stellar but needs a lot of work.

We had to leave the properly after 3 nights as the door of mold and mildew in the room was making me extremely sick. Black mold on the bathroom ceiling. There was also a chemical odor, probably insecticide. I think, if the room was thoroughly scoured and rid of mold, then painted with Kilz the issue might be solved. Linens of poor quality, towels literally threadbare. The courtyard area was tidy but there was really no furniture beyond 2 chairs and a folding table. Hot tub was empty. I'm sorry to have to give such a negative review. We've booked via HomeAway/VRBO for over a decade and have always enjoyed the properties we've stayed in.

Totally misleading

As opposed to what was shown in photos and/or in the description of amenities, there was a miniscule television, no table, no sofa, no chair, no microwave, no kitchen counter space, one shelf more than six feet from the floor, filthy dirty curtains, dirty kitchen sink, no place to hang any clothing, no patio table, no patio chairs, no umbrella, dip pool only a non-functioning empty old jacuzzi. Do not stay there! The only thing suitable and as described, was a king- sized bed with sheets that didn’t fit properly. The owner did reimburse me for the 1st short stay reservation and Home-Away refunded my payment in full for the advance payment of a second Rez. for this place, that I had made before arriving.
