I stayed at this hotel on Halloween for what was supposed to be a relaxing two-night stay. I had a few friends over, and we were simply catching up because we hadn’t seen each other in a while. We weren’t being loud, causing problems, or disturbing anyone.
There appeared to be a bar downstairs in the building, with a long line of people outside the hotel entrance. At some point, the police were called because of altercations happening downstairs. Whatever happened had absolutely nothing to do with me or my friends.
Later that night, after the bar closed, I walked my friends to their car to make sure they left safely. Two other friends stopped by early in the morning. Again, we were quiet, hung out for a bit, and they left.
Around 9:30 a.m., I went out to run errands. When I returned, I discovered that the hotel had called me around 10 a.m. and sent a text accusing me of suspicious activity, telling me I was being watched, claiming I had too many guests, and giving me only ONE HOUR to respond.
I found the entire message extremely rude, unprofessional, and honestly insulting. They then demanded identification from every person who had visited my room and told me that if I couldn’t provide it, I would have to leave.
Seriously? I paid for a two-night stay, wasn’t causing any problems, and suddenly I’m being treated like I’ve committed some kind of crime.I was forced to pack my belongings and leave before 1 p.m., even though I had already paid for another night. I expect a refund
