Utah Lake State Park is a hot spot for locals and tourists during summer. It’s the largest freshwater lake in Utah and one of the largest in the West. The lake’s recorded history dates back to 1776 when a party of Spanish pioneers stumbled upon it. People had started to call it Utah Lake by the early 19th century. In summer, you can come here for a day trip and stop by the Timpanogos Cave National Monument to the north.
