Cinnamon Bay is a picturesque coastal stretch known for its excellent snorkeling conditions. A former Danish plantation that now serves as an open-air museum adds history and intrigue to this scenic part of the world. Explore the trails of this tropical coastline for a glimpse of its sprawling beauty. 

Enjoy the sunny, hot weather with a trip to Cinnamon Bay Beach, which has amenities such as showers and restrooms. Browse the souvenirs and beach equipment in the shops. Sip drinks and purchase food from the snack bar and the restaurant. Rent paddle boats to take out on the sea with your family.

Cool down with a dip in the sea and relax in the shade of a swaying palm tree. Go snorkeling in the clear water to spot a range of colorful fish and coral. Occasional strong winds make for excellent sailing and windsurfing conditions. Capture photos of the idyllic scenery: white sand, green hills and crystal-clear water.

Visit the Cinnamon Bay Plantation to see the 18th-century buildings of this historic site. Inspect the ruins of the horse mill, the boiling house and other rooms involved in the processing of sugar cane. Hear of the revolt of the slaves in 1733 and how certain slaves tried to ward off the rebels long enough for the plantation owners to escape. Many of the buildings and fields were burned.

Stay the night at the Cinnamon Bay Campground, which is the only camping site in the Virgin Islands National Park. Choose from cottages, tents and open-air lodgings. The site contains a shop and a restaurant. Rent kayaks and snorkeling gear from the waterfront store.

Cinnamon Bay is on the northern coast of the island of St. John. To reach St. John from Cyril E. King International Airport on St. Thomas, take the safari bus to the port, where a ferry will take you to St. John. While on the island, explore other areas such as Trunk Bay, where this is more excellent snorkeling conditions, and Maho Bay, a great spot to see sea turtles.

We loved our 5 night stay at Wharfside Village! The staff made it next level though (particularly Dawn and another guy but I dont remember his name sorry. He has a gf who works the beach bar though :)) Anyway, they were both fantastic. As we were on our way, I got personal texts from Dawn about our status and a step by step once we landed from getting a taxi, onto the ferry, and where to go when we arrived in St. John. It wasnt a generic auto text and was VERY helpful. I booked my gf and I this vacation as a surprise for her birthday and so I asked if the hotel would be able to have a bottle of wine waiting in our room as a suprise and add it to our bill. Not only did Dawn get a bottle of wine for us, she also set up a bottle of champagne on ice and then let us know that it was on them with no charge! The room also had a personalized note wishing my gf a happy birthday along with everything you need to know about the room. The rooms arent huge but more than enough space, modern and well kept. In the morning, I asked about snorkeling and kayaking and where the best spots were. Within an hour I was staring directly at a MASSIVE sea turtle less than 2 feet away! Our view was amazing as it's the only hotel directly on the beach. Location was IDEAL. In town near all the bars, restaurants, shops and just around the corner is where all the taxis pick ppl up so it was a breeze moving about the island. It felt private, but without sacrificing convenience. Amazing Visit Overall!!! Thx!

Wyndham is a timeshare complex. Beware of the sales pitch you will be presented with at check in. There is no breakfast offerings at the restaurant. The restaurant is not affiliated with the Wyndham and the service is very lacking. What is really nice about the stay is the staff. They are very amenable to your needs. The resort is also very quiet and you can always find a beach chair.
