Easy and nice place to stay

It was a great place to stay, with easy access to everything we needed. Could easily walk to several places. Kids enjoyed it, plenty of space and nice amenities. Would stay again if we are back there.

Great place to stay for location to attractions in area.

This was a great place for our group of 4 adults. The location was excellent except for the busy street. If we were ever in the area again we would welcome the opportunity to stay again.

Black Hills

This property is a great choice for a stay in the Black Hills with its central location—easy interstate access and close to grocery stores if you plan on cooking and or many restaurants nearby if you choose not to cook.

Fun little place close to all in Rapid City, SD.

My wife and I and our assistant coach (we are USA swim coaches) loved our stay here during our 3 day meet. The house is awesome (we were on the second floor) and has a great outdoor patio, nice mountain views and open kitchen/great room concept and even a fireplace. All the conveniences and close to anywhere you need to go in Rapid City. Beds were comfortable and had everything else we needed. Will stay here again if we swim here next year! Chic and immaculate

Great place. Cool modern design. Extremely clean. Easy in and out. Well equipped. Others mention road noise but we didn’t think it was a big deal. It’s on a road but it’s not an interstate or anything like that. Just normal city stuff. We will stay here again.

Great Location for All the Tourist Attractions!

Our group of friends enjoyed this home so much. We stayed in both the upstairs and downstairs units and had plenty of space throughout with each bedroom having their own private bathroom (which is a requirement for our vacations together). From the central location, paved roads and garage space (another must for us), to being able to check in early upon request, I cannot say enough good things about our experience! We cannot wait until our next vacation in South Dakota and Would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you again Robert & Jennifer for the great accommodations and We will be back in touch!

Very nice home!

The home is very nice and extremely clean! The living area is large and very nicely decorated. The home is off a busy street and a bit noisy. I would recommend bringing a fan or white noise machine. The upper unit does have a lot of steps to climb if that’s a concern. Overall a great place to stay!

Ice place!

The house was awesome! It was clean and well maintained. I even thought the bed was comfortable and that’s saying a lot coming from me! Super easy check in process. If there’s one negative, it would have to be the traffic noise since it’s so close to a busy street. I would just plan for that next time, but it wouldn’t keep me from staying there again if the opportunity comes up.

A great central location

We truly enjoyed our stay, with the exception of the very, very loud traffic noise at night and early morning. I actually sent an email to the Rapid City Police Dpt. suggesting they patrol Haines Street for speeders and noise pollution from extremely loud mufflers. It seems half or more of the traffic had extremely loud vehicles. This property is well maintained and modern. If noise doesn’t bother you, I suggest this is your perfect rental. Very close to restaurants and entertainment.

Spacious Floor Plan

The house was perfect for our family vacation to Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills. It was spotless, well-maintained, and well-stocked with all the necessities. We love the house's open floor plan, with the kitchen, dining room, and living room open to each other and plenty of seating. The house is centrally located for all the attractions we wanted to see. We will book this house for future vacations.

Beautiful Unit

The unit is beautiful - true to the photographs. The neighborhood is sketchy, but if you're careful, you're ok. The biggest problem is the noise; it is located next to a major artery in and out of Rapid City and the traffic is constant and loud. The big trucks causes the entire unit to shake as if an earthquake is happening. It's a shame it isn't located somewhere else, because it really is a nice place. We loved it - except for the noise.

Family connections

Our (two brothers & spouses) purpose coming to Covid-hot Western South Dakota was to meet another brother we hadn't seen for 2+ years. We felt comfortable with this unit which was large, modern and met all our needs as we reconnected over 2 1/2 days. No tourism. Just good family time. Played games and conversed in comfort. Highly recommend if it fits your group size. Hosts were supportive and very responsive. We had use of garage since it was not winter which also made us comfortable overnight.

Awesome house close with easy access to highway

Very nice house with food and fuel a close drive away. The only negative is it’s located next to a main road. I would definitely rent it again

Positives and Negatives

Property was clean, manager responded quickly, and we liked the in town location but there definitely are some issues you need to be aware of before your stay here. The house is so close to a Main Street that the whole building vibrates/shakes when motorcycles, trucks, or cars (especially with loud music) goes by. The king bed in the master has a horrible bed frame so that any movement causes loud noise/squeaking. Every time we moved during the night - we woke up the other person. The 3rd bed is an air mattress in the living room. No pillows or blankets were provided for that. I had to contact and request - which we did get super quickly so that was great But if the house sleeps 6, I think bedding should be provided automatically for the number of people. Another unit is downstairs - you can hear talking and their TV through the floor air vents. It is loud. I’m sure we sounded like elephants to them since it is all tile house and we had 3 kids.

This home stands out!

First, it was really difficult to find a decent, modern, and conveniently located property near all the attractions South Dakota has to offer during this time. So this place really stood out. The location is near the freeway and is a short distance to all the black hills and surrounding area attractions. The home itself is really really comfortable. Large beds and rooms, decent sized bathrooms, a huge open space for kitchen, dining, and relaxing. The window nook by the fireplace was where one of my twins and I claimed as our favorite spot! There is even a little desk where my husband worked remotely for 3 days out of the 6 of our stay. The exclusive use of the garage was a major plus as well. There is a downstairs unit but they never bothered us (and hope we never bothered them). We shared the driveway with them which was never a hassle and they seemed nice folks too. The gas oven/stove was wonderful to cook in as well and there were enough items on the cupboard so you don’t feel like you have to buy entire basic oil and spices to be able to cook a meal. The hosts responded quickly to questions as well. Overall we loved our stay and will definitely rent this place again the next time we are in the area!

Rapid City VRBO

A very nice property. Some suggestions to make it even better: kitchen windows should be tinted or blinds added; they face east and the morning sun is blinding; both the living room chair and the sofa are very old and very uncomfortable; there is no where to store clothes in guest bedroom, which when you are staying 10 days would be nice; garbage disposal is not working; grab bars in both showers would be advisable for us older folks (who can afford $300+ per night.
