Rush through the scenic woodland on a zip line, visit an upscale country club and bring the kids to the immense amusement park.

The charming and historic town of Reeds Spring is known as a base for the mesmerizing Silver Dollar City amusement park. The town takes its name from settler Fitzhugh Reed, who lived by a nearby spring. Explore the scenic countryside surrounding the town for its range of fun activities.

Use Reeds Spring as a serene base to explore Silver Dollar City, whose theme is based on the 1880s spirit of the pioneers. The amusement park has countless activities and events, such as bluegrass concerts and the Lucky the Rescue Dog show, during opening season from March through December.

Ride the American Plunge down 5 levels and crash into the water below. Take your chances on the dizzying Electro Spin and bring your young children on the Elephant March. Get ice cream, pizza and all sorts of culinary delights from the diverse array of restaurants and stores dotted around the park.

Head into the northern outskirts of Reeds Spring and venture into the hilly forests. Here, you’ll find Zip Line USA, which claims to have the highest and longest zip lines in the Midwest region. Zip down some of its nine cables between the trees at thrilling speeds.

On the southern side of the town lies elegant Ledgestone Country Club, which is known for its stunning golf course. Enjoy a meal at the upmarket restaurant in these gorgeous surroundings and relax by the pool in the hot and humid summer. Look for the scenic creek and jagged rock formations around the club.

Located in the southwestern corner of the state of Missouri, the Reeds Spring is in a region of dense, undulating woodland. It’s 35 miles (56 kilometers) south of Springfield and 18 miles (29 kilometers) northwest of Hollister, which contains the famous College of the Ozarks. Arrive at M. Graham Clark Downtown Airport and drive 30 minutes to get here.

Reeds Spring is a base for fun activity. Visit an amusement park, a golf course and a zip-line operator.

"The room was great. We did have to evacuate twice for fire drill. (Someone smoking inside the property) Once at 12:30 am and once at 4 am. Didn’t get any kind of reimbursement for all of the chaos and lack of sleep. Even though it wasn’t the hotels fault, I hoped they would have done something."

"The resort is a timeshare push. From the moment you check in, they are trying to sell a timeshare. We chose this property due to the water park and it was closed during our stay. The house was worn out and dated (paint faded, wood rot, interior doors loose). I wouldn’t recommend. There are much better ..."
