"I ended up at Camp Deforest serendipitously, but it was one of the highlights of my trip! This beautifully renovated motel from the 1950s has a summer camp theme that's the perfect blend of nostalgia and whimsy. So much thought was put into the design; anywhere your eye lands there will be something cool to look at. The rooms were super comfortable, adorably decorated, and absolutely spotless. And the staff was awesome, too! I was traveling solo, and both Zach at checkin and Joe the next morning were super welcoming and friendly. I literally couldn't have asked for anything more — except for maybe a random moose sighting on the lawn, which, if they could have arranged for me they probably would have."

"The breakfast was just muffins, granola bars, eggs in a bag, small juicebox, and a pastry. A hot breakfast would be preferred. The bathrooms in the rooms are extremely small and there is no water pressure."

"The cottage was perfect for my dog and I. The directions on the cottage, what was there, where things were, request when checking out were perfect. It was spotlessly clean and pleasantly decorated. They also provided local pamphlets and maps of activities, restaurants and tourist places to go. The hosts were pleasant and welcoming along with their two dogs. "

"The rooms are marked as “Non smoking” but that is not the case. We were placed on ground level floor and the smell of cigarette smoke was unbearable, we were switched to another room which was unfortunately not any better. "
