"The house was clean, spacious and had what we needed. We had a snow storm during our visit and even though it is located on a dirt road, in what appears to be in an area of mostly summer homes, the road got plowed. We did need to use 4 wheel drive to get up one steep hill after the storm. I think this would be a great place to stay during the summer but it was very cozy for this winter getaway."

"This home was even better than the pictures! The space is so cozy and decorated beautifully. The hosts left a huge bouquet of fresh flowers for us along with bread, chocolates, and jams. Checking in and out was super easy and the home had all the accommodations you could need. Definitely will be back!"

"We absolutely LOVED our stay at 'Loon Cottage.' It was just the two of us, so we were glad to be able to rent a place that didn't have tons of extra bedrooms and space we didn't need. I cannot say enough about the location. This was our first trip to Maine, and staying in this place just outside of Camden proper was perfect - we were close enough to make an easy drive into the charming town for groceries, wonderful dining, strolling by the waterfront AND felt like we were tucked away in an almost private hideaway on a gorgeous large pond. The view from the deck was so beautiful it nearly took my breath away, especially in early morning or late day light. And we loved the rustic old feel of the cabin - it really felt like HOME. We were there for some pretty chilly nights and loved firing up the wood stove now and again to make it a little toastier inside. The kitchen had everything we needed and the short few steps down to the water and a lovely dock made for a wonderful spot for quiet contemplation or watching the birds and feeling the breeze. The main bedroom bed was so comfortable (I'm in love with those sheets) and we slept so well and felt very much at home there. Plus, the host was so attentive and kind. We would definitely return to this cozy hideaway in the hart of mid-coast Maine again."

"Loved this spot. The lake was beautiful. We had a wonderful time even though the weather was bad a few days. The cabin was so cute and decorated very nice. The kitchen was stocked well. We had everything we needed. Loved hearing the loons at night. It wasn't too far from Camden that we visited frequently. I hope to come back there some day."

"This lovely house, with a very well equipped kitchen, overlooks the lake in a beautiful setting. So nice to have views from the deck, the dining/sitting area, & the enclosed porch. The little room by the lake was a quiet oasis for reading. We would rent here again, since I suspect the minor housekeeping issues were just a blip, Glad we hadn't counted on using the basement room, since if seemed chilly there with the cooler weather, and it hadn't been clear to us that it is a windowless space. The Sterlingtown Bakehouse, just a few minutes away, is a real plus for breakfast muffins or croissants, & dessert treats."

"We had a lovely stay for 2 weeks at Barbara cottage. The place had all we needed, it was clean well maintained and we had a best sleep there . The lake is so close and we has a great time on a canoe that Barbara has available for her guests. The lake is so clean and great for kids to swim in. The cottage is perfect size for 4-5 people and has all you need to cook and WIFI was great as I was working during our stay. The outside there is grill and seating for dining or just enjoying the time out. The neighborhood is so quiet and loons can be heard at night. Barbara and Amy were amazing hosts making sure we had all we needed. We are defiantly planing to be back, thank you for a great stay."
